Todays Challengers Trophy game was full of comedy of errors 1) WTF, Reds did not even bat full 50 overs, they even miss their batting powerplay. 2) WTF was bhajji doing at 3, is he planning to become a batter now as his bowling form has dipped? 3) India Blues cruising, Yusuf Pathan playes a irresponsible shot, they just needed less than run a ball. This guy does not deserve to be part of ODI team 4) Reds missing some easy run outs that would won them the game. I thikn they missed twice in space of 3 deliveries in last or second last over. 5) Blues trying their best to lose the game, and Reds even trying harder not to win. In short game was of low quality to me

I agree. There was no intensity in the field and fielders hardly put an effort to field the ball in the outfield. So sloppy was the fielding of Blues in the first half that I got really irritated and switched the TV off. What is the point of this tournament when no one is taking it seriously? And how bad were the bowlers? There was nothing in the track for them, granted. Still it doesn't justify the rank bad deliveries, short and wide ones that were bowled by every seamer, apart from Trivedi in his first spell. How on earth did Red collapse to be dismissed in just 44.4 overs? Why were those idiot batsmen chosen for the middle overs who couldn't even last for 16 overs after the 5th wicket fell at 34 overs? Saha is a terrible keeper and he doesn't deserve a look in after this horrible performance! Scorecard Seamers for Aus series later this month-- Sree, Munaf, Tyagi, Ishsant everyone was terrible, absolutely terrible. So be ready for getting spanked in this series too. Dhoni doesn't seem to be on the top of his game. Vijay and Dhawan looked good till they lasted.

CL had about 50,000 people audience. It has bunch of oldies and some unknown faces. Challenger trophy had lot of current Indian players. I am surprised people are not interested in watching a game involving star players.

Such a shame to see an important and prestigious event like Challengers being treated so shabbily by BCCI. I remember when this series was started, youngsters doing well here, normally used to get selected for the national team. If I am not wrong guys like Nikhil Chopra, Sanghvi, Sriram, DInesh Mongia and then Yuvi, Kaif, Dhoni, Bhajji, Viru , Chawla, Sreesanth all came into national limelight due to their performance in Challenger series. SOme of the names mentioned might not have gone onto do wll for India but still this series gave them a platform to produce the goods and get into the national side. Wonder if there are any selectors even watching this series nowadays. BCCI seems to focused and committed only for IPL and CL. Rest everything doesnt seem to count. They promoted the corporate trophy better than the Challenger series.

Amidst the hype for CL, this tournament lost its attention. Should have been scheduled at a different time. This is what we need to look out for future not CL. CL is just for fun.
