DomainK Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 The difference was low, but no one expected Gmail to finally beat Yahoo when Yahoo had just revamped and launched a massive ad campaign. The campaign was everywhere. O&M spent huge money on media. The campaign forced me to open yahoo.co.in after a long time and I was impressed. They are finally getting things right, but quite late I think. Most smart net users have already switched to Google and though yahoo has got some good looking apps in place, it's existing users hardly use apps much. Those who do use apps are now loyally hooked to Google. Yahoo spent some serious money at a wrong time.
Sachinism Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 About time people saw the light. BTW has anyone managed to get a Google Wave account?

Tapioca Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 ^^i got invitation for google wave....but service is not available for India yet Not available for India ? I am using it since yesterday. Actually, don't know what to use it for. Perhaps if they add more gadgets and robots to integrate other stuff like gmail and all, it could become popular.
ViruRulez Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Gmail might lose users again to yahoo. Their user base might decrease after the new mobile phone verification system for new gmail accounts. But still gmail is the best.
coffee_rules Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 gmail is useless. I cannot reply with my replies to individual blocks of the original e-mail. Same with outlook too.
