pensionplan
Has been tragic again this series. Getting lashed by panys kiwis. What does this joker have to do to get droppedReally. When fit in ODI's Zaheer and Nehra will be the first two choices for the pace bowling slots and rightly so. That is all there is to it. Does not matter personally what we think about a player. In this game when India chased down 315 Kyle Mills conceded 21 runs in an over. Big deal. Can happen to the best of them. And on the sub-continent tracks that are batting beauties such as the one in Bangalore today the job becomes doubly difficult in the death overs for the pacers with a worn out white ball. And if they face someone as set as a Franklin or a Yusuf some times you will have an over where you can get hit real bad. But all and all I am very comfortable having Nehra as one of the pace bowlers in my side for the ODI's. Link to comment

It doe not matter if people out bowl him or he plays like a ****, the same mantra is stated that he must play. He is awful and we must move on before he destroys us at the WC! For gods sake can we at least try playing a series without this goofy idiot! Link to comment
Sachinism
This series was getting too easy, he wanted our batsmen to have a new challenge Link to comment

For gods sake can we at least try playing a series without this goofy idiot!I think you need to take a deep breath and keep aside the deep hatred you have for this player for a second. Unless you can back your claims with cricketing facts your statements hold no water. Let us quickly look at our pace bowling options. Between ZK, Nehra, PK, Munaf there is nothing to choose between ZK, PK and Nehra when it comes to runs per over. Munaf is the best of the lot when it comes to the economy. When it comes to the average which is the runs per wicket taken Nehra and ZK are on par with each other followed by Munaf with PK more than 2 points behind. Now if I add IS, SS, RPS to the equation and compare they are clearly behind Nehra when it comes to the economy rate. So which ever way you look at it when all the bowlers are fit out of a group of ZK, Nehra, PK, MP, IS, SS, RPS the three best options for the ODI's are ZK, Nehra and Munaf followed by PK on the sub-continental tracks. Unless you can come up with something really substantial and back your statements with cricketing reasons and facts whatever you have to say about Nehra are just rants and nothing more that are based purely on dislike that is bordering on hate. IKnowU
Nehra will definitely sink us in at least couple of WC games. Same goes for munna. My bowling list would be, Zaheer, Praveen and Ishant/Sreesanth Link to comment

If one do not have much to substantiate on their statements any sort of proclamations can be made. But then they will not hold much water. Will they? Link to comment

I rather support the newcomers and let them learn their trade rather then stick with guys that are past their expiry date. After 2011 WC, guys like Ishant, Sreesanth will end up playing 2015 WC without having developed all their necessary skills and giving a average performace because we were too busy persisting with deadwood. Sid
Sometiimes I wonder why Nehra is suppoesed to be a certainity in our side,is he a yorker specialist ,is he a tear-away quick who guarantee you wickets, the answer is no He is an useless batsmen ,hopeless fielder, his only utility in the team is his bowling which is nothing special and every now and then he confirms his uselessness in death and batting PP overs where most of the times he gets slaughtered Sooner we get rid of him, better for us,if he is going to dish out some garbage as some of our other Indian seamers, then go with a seamer who can atleast contribute with the bat or is good in field unlike Nehra Link to comment
Sachinism
At least our selectors are sane and have seen the effectiveness of Nehra over the last year plus Link to comment
Lord
he really had one bad over.infact he was the one who brought us back early after tragic start with 2 wickets.he shouldnt have bowled that over in the death.Zak had 2 pending.poor captaincy by GG Link to comment
Ram
Q: How do you know if Nehra has bowled well in a match without even looking at the scorecard? A: Check ICF. If this thread is bumped, then he probably screwed up a little. If there’s radio silence (as there often is), then he probably bowled pretty well. :icflove: Link to comment
