EnterTheVoid Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 ^^ Haha...btw have you been to any of the games India played at Adelaide? Yes, quite a few 1. India v Australia, 2003 - 2004 Border Gavaskar Trophy, 2nd Test, 3rd day when Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman were involved in that 300 run partnership. Rahul Dravid 233: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzfCLLD_RVk]YouTube- Rahul Dravid 233 against Australia[/ame] 2. 2007 - 2008 Border Gavaskar Trophy, 4th test day 2(?) when Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh made 50's each. Kumble was out on 80 odd if I remember correctly. Kumble's innings: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kH_BbTSHIg0]YouTube- Kumble 87 4th test Australia vs India Day 2[/ame] Harbhajan's innings: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVhGjcbSvLQ&feature=related]YouTube- Harbhagan 63 4th test Australia vs India Day 2[/ame] 3. 2004 VB ODI series - India v Zimbabwe, when India tried noobs at the top of the order, Sanjay Bangar, Rohan Gavaskar etc, the game where VVS scored his third ODI century in that series in a row.
EnterTheVoid Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 ^^ Haha...btw have you been to any of the games India played at Adelaide? Also, the Indians had a dedicated group of supporters called the "Swami Army", they were a funny bunch :hysterical: http://www.swamiarmy.net/contactus.htm
Nova Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Superb pics. You captured the action pretty well. It was a pleasure to see high quality stuff. Thanks sree!

EnterTheVoid Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Thank you everyone. Those pictures that are slightly choppy, I will reupload them as well as upload some more pictures. I will also upload some videos to youtube, all in high quality. Night time at the Adelaide Oval is simply surreal. Really is very beautiful.
Guest Hiten. Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Stunning captures Sree. Looks like you had fun watching poyz lose. BTW, did you enjoy "the main man's" duck :aetsch: Btw, you're right time flies by when you're at the venue amongst 10000s of people shouting their lungs out.
graphic23 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Great pictures! Thanks for taking the effort to upload them. Adelaide Oval does look beautiful.
EnterTheVoid Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 BTW' date=' did you enjoy "the main man's" duck :aetsch:[/quote'] I was hoping one of his pull shots / hook shots landed in our section of the crowd :hysterical: How was the atmosphere Sree? Great pictures! Thanks for taking the effort to upload them. Adelaide Oval does look beautiful. The pictures don't do justice to the carnival atmosphere of the ground, which I tried to capture in the following videos. For reasons I don't know, the videos come out choppy when uploaded to youtube, hence decided to upload them to a file sharing website instead; They are not very big, one ~ 20 mb and other ~ 35 mb odd Video 1: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UHWHSSRE Video 2: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DL5HM43O More pictures / videos next time :winky:
Guest Gunner Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Well done sree very nice pictures and videos. It was fun to see the atmosphere in the adelaide oval. Btw, I believe I can smack a few sixes and fours in that ground. It looks smallish.
EnterTheVoid Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 Well done sree very nice pictures and videos. It was fun to see the atmosphere in the adelaide oval. Btw, I believe I can smack a few sixes and fours in that ground. It looks smallish. Cheers. The official attendance was some 15, 000 odd. Compare that to the MCG (100, 000) or Eden Gardens (90, 000), which seated some 40, 000 odd during construction (Eden Gardens), still ongoing, I believe. The official seating capacity is 33, 597 with 50, 000 + from 2013 onwards, once the redevelopment is complete. Everything is so expensive. A bottle of water costs five dollars. The other area that could be improved are the state of the public toilets. Other than that, it really is a fantastic sporting venue.
EnterTheVoid Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 BUMP for Adelaide. Let's see, I may still go if I feel like it.
Nova Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 ^ Don't bother going...just chill at home! on second thought you might miss SRT ton. :)
EnterTheVoid Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 I meant going to the night ODI. Might be able to snap some good pictures. Btw, did you see the pictures I posted from the SCG? Link is in my signature.
