That's not relevant. Fact is Mumbai Indians willingly shelled out $2.75 million for Pollard and only around $1 million for Tendulkar. Link to comment

Don't think SRT being the icon player went to the auctions. Also there were no silent bids in Jan 2008. Link to comment

Texan
Yeah' date=' Pollard is the man with $2.75 million. Serves MI right for sending someone like Nita Ambani to the auction. Link to comment
kabira
well MI needs Pollard, tehy have been missing big hitter down the order and with Jayasuriya probably phasing out, they needed a big hitter. I think spending on Duminy was waste for MI Link to comment
Dravid
any1 see his dismissal in 2nd ODI 1st ball siddle gives him a sharp bouncer, which khatmal has no idea about next ball bowled top of off stump as khatmal was backing away :hahaha: gutless :) Link to comment

I think spending on Duminy was waste for MI MI always spend tons of money on unproven cricketers who hardly prove anything because Ambanis don't have any shortage of money. Instead of heaping so much money on undeserving cricketers, I wished they did a little more charity the way other rich people do (Gates, Buffett etc).
