**** happens. When you score those many centuries, some figures look bigger than they actually are. Sachin has a few centuries in the losing cause because he has scored those effin many. But if you find out the percentage of centuries in losing cause and compare it with other players, you will find it's actually quite normal. For example, I calculated that a few months ago and found that in percentage Inzamam has scored more centuries in a losing cause than Sachin.

And I'll guess even that small % at losing causes will be higher than total # of 100s by many "great" batsmen

umar khatmal wouldnt get into the india XI, he is ordinary and scores once in 20 innings, thats not good enough.

Yeah the kids got talent. He is probably the best batsman of his age in the world. He has to do a lot of hard work and keep focussed or else he would end up as another talent gone awry, or at best a Ross Taylorish player.
