It follows the murder of Indian Nitin Garg, 21, in Melbourne and a string of other attacks on South Asians. Apparently, he was returning from a dinner party with his wife when a gang came after him and set fire to him. Its the cheapest suburb but even 10 years ago I had to wait for 2 hrs for a cab as even cabbies dont wanna enter that suburb and in that suburb this 20 yr old kid decided to walk through a dark park. IMO most racist attacks are done for showing off to friends , these attacks especially murders are all planned and executed while most racist attacks are spontaneous. nothing was stolen either. I am angry that Indian media is acting all preachy, so many people die in India due to fecking cold weather and they dont care but with attacks in Aus, they have already decided its race related. It very well could be but how the feck do they know ? In yet another incident of racial violence, a 29-year-old Indian was attacked by four men How does TOI know that it wasnt someone who had animosity against this guy, how do they know its a race attack ? Cartoons and all are clever but do they know that Police in India took 19 yrs to file a sexual harassment case , the guilty was COP and he picked up the victims family members, neighbors and harassed them. Same country where a cop did 100 fecking encounters .. and these are only 2 cases we know about. I'm not saying all is well but this media is just adding fuel to the fire, the stupid Indians ( excuse me for saying this ) still continue to live in that filthy suburb cuz they save $200 a month on rent. I am talking about guys who are making 1.5times avg Aussie salary. Cops have messed up as there are not enough policemen in Aus, we are struggling. Its not only Indians who are getting attacked, I read everyday about 2-3 cases like that. Whats making worse is that majority of people working after Mid-night are now Indians. They take up cleaning jobs , taxi , 711, fast food etc and they get targeted. Indians who have come here in the last few years are like Mexicans in the US. IMO no Indian student should come to Aus anymore till its all settled.

Aussie govt is also at fault, they didnt take initial attacks seriously, the cops didnt care either but the worst thing was to allow so many Indians to come here. I think with recession looming they went a lil too big on international students, at the same time desis became richer since property prices in India took off in the last 10 years so now even 10th pas could come here for a dodgy cookery course. Result a lot of Indians .. so many that I can actually understand why aussies would be worried. trust me all upcoming suburbs here have at least 60-70% indians , to make the matters worse most of these are working in kitchens , cabs etc . One thing that people dont realise is that this is not India , u cant just arrest someone and put him in jail to show that u r investigating. We all know how Delhi police arrests 5 people within 3 hrs of Sarkari orders.

People are dying on a regular basis and obviously it is race related, all you need to use is common sense to conclude that. The police might want more evidence and rightly so, but a reasonable person can conclude that targeting of these Indian-Origin specific people is racially motivated. I have been in the US for a long long time and have assimilated well into the society here, yet if such incidents were to happen to the Indians in the US, I will be outraged.
