EnterTheVoid Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Not at all. Just because a tournament is played in India, actually it was not played in India last year, it makes it Indian? To me being Indian has to be little bit more than that. Maybe for you it is different. What nonsense is this ? Can you shed some insight into your logic and reasoning as it is difficult to fathom. So if I was born in India and lived elsewhere most of my life, I am not Indian ? Out before you start questioning my patriotism So you are scared to hold a tournament for the fear of goons? Like I said earlier it only shows how those orgasming over Pakistani players non-selection are effectively suggesting Indian authorities are weak and IPL is supposed to be doing their "job". Spare a thought for the victims of Mumbai before trampling over open wounds which have not yet healed. What terrorism are we talking about? Give me specifics here. Unless you are clueless 60+ years would translate to late 1940s. Please show me terrorism activities in 50s, 60s, 70s with footprints in Pakistan. Dont get your blood pressure up, just provide me instances. Should not be very hard for someone so certain. For all the ridiculous questions you asked me so far, you outdo yourself with this one. To re-iterate the bleeding obvious, Pakistan has been a problem since partition. What next, are you going to ask me when partition happened ? Comprehension skills brother. He asked me to grow up' date=' looks like he himself did somewhere across the LOC at some point during his life.[/quote'] One ridiculous question after another. The sheer absurdity of it all.
patriot Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 ^ Then why does the government not come out in the open and say that Pakistanis are not invited till India can see substantial steps to combat terrorism by Pakistan? This is no diplomatic war or embargo. What if Pakistanis are bid for in the next IPL auction? Do you really think such underhanded measures are going to force the Pakistan government to act? They haven't made a single arrest regarding the attack on Sri Lankan team yet and no one even talks about that anymore. Well, if they can't act then too bad for them. They will slip into further isolation, cricketing and otherwise. Let us not underestimate the rogue abilities of a nation that has for donkeys years milked the US coffers. India is simply paying back Pakistan with the same coin. They have played with us psychologically for years luring us with cricket diplomacy form the times of Zia ul haq while simultaneously plotting terror attacks. Each major terror strike is followed by a lull in cricketing relations and then then a thaw and cricketing bilateral ties and yet another major terrorist attack. We too are showing ourselves to be benovelant and forgivng and then kicking them where it hurts most. Muh mein ram ram, bagal mein choori. Thats the only way to deal with these rogues. They know what we are upto and its hurting them and their people big time. And what if there is another terrorist incident before 2011 IPL ? Would'nt it be due going by the regular rate ?
EnterTheVoid Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Umm... a heck lot more than that. It has become a national issue in Pakistan getting the chaddis of all their politicians and highest establishment in a twist. Anyone who has followed half an hour of sports news would concurr with that. Cricket is as much a religion in Pak as in India. And for god sake cricket is not like any other sport. The idea of the govt spending extra crores to protect half a dozen Pak.i cricketers in a place like Mumbai for a frickin hit and giggle private tournament, when the avg innocent citizen there is still as insecure and as vulnerable to yet another attack from Pak based terrorists is unconceivable to anyone who has even a grain of patriotism. Did anyone hear the comment made by Sohail Tanveer calling is a " Hindu bania conspiracy " on GeoTv of Pak ? These thankless mofos deserve zilch apart from humilation and isolation. Brilliant post, with that bolded part hitting the nail on it's head. If you give me permission, I would like to use that as my signature
The Outsider Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 We too are showing ourselves to be benovelant and forgivng and then kicking them where it hurts most. Muh mein ram ram' date=' bagal mein choori. [/quote'] Right, so that's why I asked you earlier that you want us to align our moral compass with Pakistan and it's inbred Jihaadis. If that's your idea of developing a nation and it's policies, I really don't have anything to add here.
patriot Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Prof. , are we living in a fairy tale world ? Tell me one major nation that has not resorted to covert activities. International geo politics is murky and dirty game. For far too long, India has been a victim of it from the 2 major rogue nations we have in our neighbourhood. You think China has been doing nothing in the neighbourhood to harm us perpetually..while singing songs on economic cooperation and trade ? To f u c king hell with the moral compass, national interests come first.
The Outsider Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 ^ You guys have really been misled into thinking this is part of some high level covert operation? I'll bet on Pakistanis playing this years' Champions League - Akram is coach of KKR even now, maybe even Afridi for South Australia. Not to mention many will be taken up as part of IPL 2011's auction.
triam Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 This thread is funny. Covert operation: A covert operation (also as CoveOps or covert ops) is a military, intelligence or law enforcement operation that is carried clandestinely and, often, outside of official channels. Covert operations aim to fulfill their mission objectives without any parties knowing who sponsored or carried out the operation. (from wikipedia) So not allowing pakistani players is a covert operation now? what is the objective of this operation not allowing pakistani players? wow, that is the mother of all covert operations. If the indian government launched and completed a covert operation to nab Dawood or some of the accused in 26/11 inside Pakistan and take them out, I would be applauding that. This if it were a covert operation would be the most idiotic covert operation in the history. Second, if India is serious about diplomatic warfare there are a million ways to go about it, this probably is the most ineffectual way of going about a diplomatic war. Heck, Pakistan and the cricketers are gaining sympathy in the worlds eye because of this enormous **** up.

There will be no Pakis in 2011 IPL, i promise you.

Specially true is the part that any diplomatic embargo's aim is to wean away third party sympathy whereas in this case it's doing the exact opposite.
Lurker Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 So if I was born in India and lived elsewhere most of my life, I am not Indian ? Out before you start questioning my patriotism. First up just for the record you do not need any confirmation from me, or anyone else for that matter, what is your "national" leaning. But since you asked me, NO you are NOT. You may have been born in India but if you have traded in your passport you are not Indian. Forget about me even Consitution of India shall not recognize you as an Indian. My larger point however had nothing to do with YOU. I clearly said to be an Indian you have to have a bit more than simply a league in India. Spare a thought for the victims of Mumbai before trampling over open wounds which have not yet healed. And how exactly am I supposed to do that? By banning Afridi? I mean seriously are you that unable to grasp this logic?? And just as I should not question your "patriotism" what makes you think you have any right to question my "sympathies"? For all the ridiculous questions you asked me so far, you outdo yourself with this one. To re-iterate the bleeding obvious, Pakistan has been a problem since partition. What next, are you going to ask me when partition happened ? What a complete moron! Partition = terrorism??? Again which madarassa school did your parents sent you to? I will keep it simple ace. Prove your point about terrorism in India in 50s, 60s, 70s. Those are 3decades, 30 effing years. Give me specifics. Put up or shut up! xxx

Covert need not always bee associated with miliary operation as your understanding seems to indicate. Lets just put it as a covert hatch up between the who's whom of IPL and the govt ? Simple ? Main Entry: 1co·vert Pronunciation: \ˈkō-(ˌ)vərt, kō-ˈ; ˈkə-vərt\ Function: adjective Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, past participle of coverir to cover Date: 14th century 1 : not openly shown, engaged in, or avowed : veiled 2 : covered over : sheltered synonyms see secret Lets just put it as - this was our govt's way of kicking Pak's little left respect as a nation in the balls. To see what this kick caused - just take a look at the reaction it has caused in Pakistan from the parliament to the streets. Does it ring a bell of what each terrorist attack in India causes ? Well not quite there. But little by little. These little things add up. Lets put it as a covert intention to isolate Pakistan, OK ? The idea of isolating and cornering a country has gradual effects, they are adding up, big time, already. Simple ?
dial_100 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Bossy... unless BJP tones down a little they do not have any chance. I tell that to my Dad all the time. I dont like congress but honestly BJP needs to stand out.l Only the they will come to power of their own. I have not seen any congressis but definitely have seen some RSS and BJP folks (real powerful) from very close. Trouble is, not everyone is like them. Thats why they can't come to power. As for the current IPL fiasco. I dont care about Chaddi cricket any way and that too, it involves Paki Pooki players, I dont find it worthy of my attention anyways... BTW, it is really good to see you on the ICF again...
I_India Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Don't see any reason why Pakistani citizens should get truck load of $$s from average cricket watching Indian public. Pakistanis will be more than welcome in India if they stop and own up to their two faced deeds.
Lurker Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Doesnt matter what they do .... we are a supersoft maha gutless nation ... it shows up everywhere from our Govt, foreign policy , our past our present .... heck even this forum .... Right here right now on this thread .... No one even has the balls to speak up and zero in on that white elephant that sits bindaas right in the middle of the room offloading a ton of poop every now and then ... If this is the state of our young super educated generation ... then its no surprise why the harami kaangress keep getting elected. It does continue to amaze me how ultra-nationalist don't miss a chance to have a go at their Nation. I could still understand if you could qualify your statement with a "some", as in some Indian are supersoft yada yada. How does one have so much hatred so as to chastise the very nation he hails from is beyond me BB. As for BJP/RSS as Chacha Ghalib said famously Khuda ke waaste pardah na kaabe se utha zaalim kahin aisa na ho ya bhi wahi kaafir sanam nikale :winky:

Dude, the only effect that this "covert operation" is having is that most other country people are sympathizing with Pakistan's cricketers. Just bcos Pakistan's government acts like a bunch of old women who have no job, does not mean it has any REAL impact. P.S. Covert operation is always used in the meaning I gave you, what you are looking for is conspiracy.

Just bcos Pakistan's government acts like a bunch of old women who have no job, does not mean it has any REAL impact. P.S. Covert operation is always used in the meaning I gave you, what you are looking for is conspiracy. I am afraid the term, bunch of jobless old women applies to those in India who are sympathising with this rogue country's cricketers. And they are such a tiny fraction. Most polls I have seen have 98 % people happy with what happened to the Pak cricketers. So which sympathy are you talking about man ? The " real impact " that you are talking about is gradual but intense. The " real impact " over the last year or so has been cut off of bilateral cricketing ties which has made the PCB beg profusely and shamelessly. Ditto WC 2011 . And now the KLPD ( Khade l*und pe dhoka) with the IPL. It is being hammered into the collective concious of the aam Pakistani junta, that in the game that both countries are equally and insanely passionate about India appears like the super rich kid who calls the shots and has the entire world at its foot. Pakistan like an orphan beggar, who was offered a months free meal and then shown the middle finger . WHy ? Because that beggar orphan is also a repetitive thief that bites the very hand it is fed from. Here we have Imran Khan crying foul: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/ipl/top-stories/Imran-calls-on-PCB-to-raise-IPL-fiasco-with-ICC/articleshow/5488341.cms These shameless begging fools are now starting to behave as if the IPL franchises owe their players something. They want to abuse and bad mouth a nation and then they shed crocodile tears when that same nation denies them easy money , as if it owed them something.
patriot Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 With this kind of reaction, Pakistani fools have totally shot themselves in the foot. Not only will this pi$$ of the franchises with the kind of racist comments mofos like Sohail Tanveer and Afridi have made, the BCCI and Modi will make sure that it is known to the Paksis well in advance that the doors are shut from them. LOL!! What a joke. These chewtiyas, who have wrecked terror in India time and again are unhappy that their players are not given befitting treatment and promised money ! And our folks are even listening to them. It can happen only in India.
