Cricketics Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Thanks to NRAI(National Rifle Association of India ) They didn't select him for a forthcoming tournament and 2004 olympics medalist Rathore along with Ronjon Sodhi in Olympics because they didn't participate in trials. Bindra has a fair reason for that. He usually trains abroad, and he showed up specially in december for trials only to find ut that there were no trials.. Now he didn't turn up this time. This is sort of b.s from NRAI along with Olypmic gold medal, Bindra has 2 golds, 1 silver 1 bronze in Commanweatlh Games.

Bindra could not attend the trials as he was busy participating in tournaments in Europe etc. . really IOC is a joke and they should learn something from BCCI.. WTF did he need to attend trials when he was winning title in international events
Cricketics Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 I don't think the blame should completely go to IOC Viru.. since it's a commanwealth games which are to take place and not olympics, and btw the main blame should go to NRAI, IOA could only recommend or solve dispute. But forgetting all of that, Goverment should step in between such matters and force NRAI to select him and Rathore. Both Rathore and Bindra are the finest Shooters in the country.

I would have hoped that we send the largest contingent this time round and emerge no.1 at Commonwealth.. there is no money needed for travel etc. too as it is in India and we can send a huge contingent for the games as most hosts do.. last time we were no.3 in the rankings and there is a good chance of being no.1 or at least no.2 this time round if we send and give our best in the games I was about to IOA and not IOC .. sorry for the mistake.. yes it is not much of IOC's mistake

If a certain Usain Bolt competes in the Jamaican trials why can't these guys? I agree they are the pride of the nation et al but they shouldn't expect to walk into the contingent just b'coz of what they had achieved in the past.

Do well in the trials and you are in, or else you are out. Now the question is did these guys make sure that the trials were organized properly with ample notice to all concerned, etc.

Then later the announced the date of training camp for the tournament in the end when they already knew Binda is buzy in Europe.
