Punisher Posted February 4, 2010 Share Posted February 4, 2010 The IPL party is set to get bigger come 2011 with 2 new teams all set to be inducted into the high profile league. The IPL governing council has announced that the bidding for 2 new teams would take place at the end of Febraury or early in March, which would take the total number of teams to 10 and increase the total number of matches from 60 at present to 94. It is learnt that the two new teams, based on city-based franchises, would be from Ahmedabad in Gujarat and Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. Hero Honda have expressed their interest to buy the Dharamshala franchisee while Anil Ambani of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group would bid for Ahmedabad. If you thought that it was just all about 'The Battle of Bollywood between Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty, think again.
