What? India domestic cricket near Test level cricket? Some of the matches have been of good standard but by and large the standard of Indian domestic cricket has been pretty crap. Traditionally, there have been only 4-5 good domestic teams, and any match up outside these traditional centers made for crap cricket.

Chandan has some good ideas on how to improve the domestic structure namely make the Zonal level matches the 'main' tourno so 5 or 6 teams of the cream of domestic cricket playing each other regularly on genuinely testing tracks. And not just filling their boots vs the Orissas of the world.

@ Gra.... I'll pick Raina over Kohli atleast for the time being. Kohli is rising through the ranks, but hard luck to him, as Pujara deserves his chance before both Raina and Kohli.

We had this this discussion long time back. In this series both the youngsters will be playing test cricket side by side. It will not only give us a glimpse to our future but will also tell us which one of the two is going to be more gritty, more patient or more classy more flowing...etc etc... Unfortunately. Pujara is missing out.
