Gambit Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Before I joined DPS, I was in Central School(Kendriya Vidyalaya) in Manipur, which, as all KVs are, was a govt school. When I joined DPS, I couldn't quite fathom why govt schools were so looked down upon, even by teachers! Teachers used to say to students"What marks are these?! Do you want to be like a govt school student?" (wtf). I felt like a student from Model College who had transferred to Rajput College (Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar) :hysterical:

Kartikey Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Lucknow - My favourite city. Born and lived there for 7 years. Really beautiful but losing its old charm because of growth. The famous market, Aminabad is getting dirtier as time moves on. Hazratganj is still amazing. The new shopping malls are also really nice. Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and South Shields (North-East England) - Nice places. South Shields is a town close to Newcastle. The beach is nice there. Newcastle is a nice city, better than the other British cities like B'ham and Manchester. And they have the best football team (well i like to think so) Bury St Edmunds (East England) - A really beautiful town, and quite small. I had a nice time there. Burton (Midlands) - The town is shabby but I had some great friends there. Cheltenham (West England) - A bigger version of Bury St Edmunds really. Been here for 5.5 years and I love my school. But obviously i miss India and want to move back really soon................................
