jusarrived Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 May be he is still able to perform his duties in the hours he puts. Some people even after showing up at work for more that 8 hours lag behind schedule because they waste time at work day-trading or posting inane messages in inane mbs. thats 9 out of 10 people I have worked with

Don Sharma Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Q1. What should an employee do when his manager works for 4 hrs a day including lunch time. Manager usually works from home 2-3 days a week and comes to work for no more than 3-4 hrs a day. :hmmm: I'll be worried if she was an hottie :(

Many organizations these days have what they call skip 1 on 1. In effect this means 1on1 meeting with your boss's boss. If it is too much of a concern then you can bring it up. Try to put a spin on it so as to not sound too negative. If thats not possible just go with the flow and dont worry much abt this.
Desi Cartman Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 Thanks Lurker ... its actually good if one wants the easy way out, ie to come to work and do the bare minimum and work from home .. basically avoid work where possible but if one wants to go forward then this kind of environment can be dangerous as slowly but surely all employees become habitual of escaping from challenges. For example, I spend 2-3 hrs a day on ICF alone when I could have been involved in something creative or challenging. I can also direct this time\energy towards finding another job or reading something which might help my career instead of chatting on ICF but its very easy to lose the momentum. I have been desperately trying to get out of here for a few months and hopefully it will happen soon, the reason i mentioned this on ICF is to show how easy it is to get lost and comfortable in a situation which is not challenging/interesting.

I Have facing same problem.....Before Joining ICF 2 months ago i used search Forums and Other sites realted to my work and some other technical things whcih helps to develop my career...now only cricket :winky: But thats not an issue..we can still read Books..My biggest problem is the work i am doing which is plain boring..so if i didnt have some entertain ment thru ICF i dont think how to reduce Stress..this site is big Stree Buster...thanks for All

We have these kind of Skippings...but still no use..only few out of many gets benefits remaining all same... the best solution is as u suggested Going thru Flow...and Enjoy ICF...
