Bumblebee Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 yuvraj isnt a sloger! for me it is raina or yousuf pathan!
Holysmoke Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Very very important question. It's this guy called Tendulkar. He once made 200 in an ODI!!!
king2be98 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 As shown time and time again by the likes of Gilchrist, Yuvraj, Gayle, Sehwag and Pietersen, slogging doesn't get you anywhere, proper batting does. Yuvraj hit 6x6s and not one of them was a horrible swipe across the line or a shot with eyes shut. Gayle launched the biggest 6 I have ever seen at the Brit Oval vs Lee, it wasn't a slog across the line, it was the cleanest straight lofted drive that you could ever imagine to see. Sloggers like Afridi, Y Pathan, D Smith and the like have been ruthlessly exposed. I think the original poster doesn't realise what the value of a proper strokemaker like Sehwag or Tendulkar is, the same way Pakistan don't realise that sloggers aren't meant to be in the top 3/4, proper batsmen are supposed to be.
king2be98 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 For me yuvraj is best. He is definately a hard hitter, but he's not a slogger. It's a great disrepect to one of the purest stroke makers of the modern era to call him a slogger.
spectre Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Raina is not a slogger :whack: He is a hard hitter, yes. Infact entire Indian ODI batting lineup comprises of hard hitters. Yuvi is the best in that There is one slogger though, Yusuf Pathan
hari504504 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 There are no brain-dead hard-hitting sloggers in the Indian team - (the likes of Imran Nazir,Afridi). I can't think of anyone who swings his willow mindlessly regadless of match situation = slogger ??? ...even the worst - Yusuf Pathan does pace his innings a little
Sir john Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Agarkar also play as a sloger in some matches.
vvvslaxman Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Dhoni is the hardest hitter. No doubts about it. Watch this video http://videos.sapo.pt/BLdjzZKIsWufKVLZJup3 Yuvi got some biggies here. But Watch Milk Man's power at 4:26 & 8:05 At 8:05 it is funny he doesn't even look where the ball is going
Online Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 they go all the way to pietermaritzburg... post of the month! :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up:
Alam_dar Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 And I am laughing at India that after so many posts still they are unable to find the right Slogger (all of them sensible Hard Hitters). Just come to Pakistan. Without wasting any time one will choose Sahibzada Shahid Khan Afridi not as the biggest slogger of Pakistan, but of whole World. LOL. Welcome to Pakistan. I think 2nd biggest World slogger also belongs to Pakistan and it is Imran Nazir. Few people will go to name Razzaq as 3rd biggest World Slogger but I will differ with them.
