No amount of semantic tap dancing will change that. Anyone who has as much knowledge of that era as you claim for yourselves would not so easily have offered that age as a sample of an "old and backward culture". An example of a backward culture is much of Pakistan today. Of Afghanistan. Of many Arab countries. As for you claims of knowing more about Greek culture than me, and the challenge of a debate - here's an observation. I do not claim especial knowledge, but my experience tells me that people who make grandiose claims on t'internet, especially when caught out on basics, - "You will lose horribly", "I know more than you" - are mostly utter twats who know just about the square root of ***** all.
