Asim Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Mohammad Yousuf set to retire March 27, 2010 Mohammad Yousuf is preparing to retire from all forms of international cricket, a direct result it is believed, of the treatment and punishment the PCB handed out to him in the aftermath of Pakistan's recent Australian tour of which he was captain. Yousuf was handed an indefinite ban as per the recommendations of an inquiry committee set up by the board to investigate why Pakistan lost every single one of the nine international matches in Australia over the turn of the year. Seven of those losses - three in Tests and four in ODIs - came under the leadership of Yousuf. ... http://www.cricinfo.com/pakistan/content/current/story/453675.html
Asim Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 Right now PCB is the best enemy of Pakistan Cricket.

At that time circumstances and his approach itself was different, but yes, no doubt still it can happen especially if PCB chairman gets replaced in near future.

PCB are champions in the art of humiliating their players. When was the last time one of their players retired with grace and dignity?

DomainK Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 ^ Inzi And that is quite an achievement for both parties. In the Mohammad Yusuf affair however (and Yunis Khan), there is more than meets the eye. Thy have chosen not to challenge or appeal against the PCB decision where they have rights to do so. There is something that neither PCB nor the players want to be made public.
