Pitches in Windies will be conducive to slow spinners. Knowing the track record of Pakistan batsmen against left arm spinners i wouldn't be surprised if BD pulls of a win.

I can show a similar wicket like that in India as well. Exceptions are not norms. What happened to the test series where every one was just feasting on. Most recently in the ODI series pitches were awfully slow when India played there.

Barbados will be a quick wicket, even if its not it wont be a turner. The test series is an exception because the WI produced tracks to draw because they were desperate to not lose. Even then the wicket had a nice pace and bounce. If Australia play most matches in Barbados they will be favorite, in Guyana there pacers will not have much effect.

I think Barbados will be a quick wicket, its antigua, st. lucia, guyana and the trini pitches that are roads and/or slow. I would expect that the Bajan groundsmen will be instructed to not make the track too bouncy - flat enough to have good high scoring games - so in theory, India should be fine.

The grounds in the Windies are so huge..especially the one in St.Lucia. I'm not sure if the big hitters like YP,Afridi,Baz and likewise will have a good tourney:nervous: ps watch out for zimboks..I saw them play in the recent ODI series(thx to Don S:banghead) and they looked very impressive. That guy, Graeme Cremer, is one of the most promising leggies in recent times. His control is just impeccable.

I think England will be dangerous - they might not win it all, but i think they have the batting firepower to make Semis. It looks like Bet365 is offering 18/1 for Zim to qualify? Wouldn't mind putting down 100 bucks on that one. Too bad they don't let US residents place bets....

. England and SA have a balanced side. Decent spinner, decent pacemen, decent power hitters. All the other sides are somewhat unbalanced. But will they get it right in a match situation? Australia lacks a decent spinner. India lacks good death bowling. Pakistan lacks batsmen (1 to 11).

SA for me, they look a solid all round team, surely their choking days are behind them. The Aussie bowling attack is a bit hit and miss, both Tait and Johnson can take wickets when they fire no doubt, but they can also both go for a lot of runs. Batting i think is solid, a mix of some hitters(Warner, White) and some sensible stroke players(Hussey, Clarke). India have an awesome batting lineup but im not overly confident about the bowling, is Ishant in the Indian T20 squad? Last time i seen him bowl he looked really flat, i guess he could of been sporting a niggle and when i seen him he wasnt 100%.

Yeah, spot on champ. However never underestimate the choking factor, it can play a big role psychologically. However, I don't think it quite applies as much in one dayers, definately in one dayers though.

Bollinger and Ryan Harris have done a decent job for their franchisees in the IPL..I see no concern at all in the bowling department except for lack of a spinner
