Mamu Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 True. Just being talented is not good enough. One needs to work on that talent to convert it into results. And Yusuf Pathan is talented? Never thought I would hear that.
Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 And Yusuf Pathan is talented? Never thought I would hear that. Of course he is. Talent doesn't only mean someone having the ability to pace an innings (Gambhir, Dhoni), score consistently at 86% SR (Sachin) or more than 100% SR (Viru). Yusuf's talent is that he has the ability to boost the RR in the slog overs like no one else can. How else can one explain his 37 ball century in the recent IPL or his exploits in the first edition of IPL. I understand IPL is very different from International cricket, but I really do hope he makes a name for himself this time around. We can't afford to lose such a monster big hitter, and useful part time spinner specially in the T20 format. And if he messes up this time, he has only himself to blame. There are lots of guys waiting for their break, and he has already got quite a few of chances.

vvvslaxman Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 dont agree that Yusuf is a talented cricketer .. he is a power hitter thats it .. He is too much used to our neighbours thinking of anyone who can blindly swing the bat is talented. It will take a while to come out of it
Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 He is too much used to our neighbours thinking of anyone who can blindly swing the bat is talented. It will take a while to come out of it And why exactly is it necessary to take a dig at my past on PP every time? Get over it!

(if you know what I mean)?
mastana Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 not a bad showing. good fielding' date=' decent bowling.[/quote'] They should play more matches against top teams. They will perform better than Bangladesh.
DomainK Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I am surprised that they didnt surprise us. Oh, wait, that was contradictory. I think they did surprise us with no surprises.
