Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 A Chris Jericho mark here:icflove:. You're damn right, pro-wrestling needs some skills..ask John Cena:giggle: :haha:I respect Cena for his dedication. But he is so pathetic in the ring, it repels me. It's no secret that he had the best match of his career against Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania, 2007. Only Shawn had the ability to carry someone like him to a good match.
Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 You know, Eddie Guerrero said this perfectly in his autobiography on how incredibly difficult the life of a wrestler is. There was this huge guy named Nathan Jones from Australia. This guy weighted about 350 pounds of pure muscle. He was convicted for 10 years in a maximum high security prison for commiting armed robberies. On his release, WWE gave him a contract to work. Just 1 year in the business completely broke him. "**** this! I can't take it anymore", he said and walked away forever from the business packing his bags .
Zelig Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I hate Cena. He is one of the most over-rated wrestlers. I haven't seen the attitude era to comment on Rock and SCSA but I have heard my bro say that it was THE best time in pro-wrestling with TRPs hitting 8. Now, they can rarley pull a 3.9 for RAW. Lord Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 It's not about whether it's real or fake. Almost all the fans who come to the arenas to watch live events know it's fake. Wrestling itself is not legit. It's a form of sports entertainment where winning and losing holds no significance on how good a wrestler is. It's about how good of an athlete a guy is, how good they are at the mic, how well they sell their opponents moves, how good they are at whether it's in being technical or a luchador/high flier. The efforts they put in the ring to entertain the fans, the incredible risks they take, the injuries, the pain and the constant travel they have to go through. Just because it's pre-determined doesn't mean they don't have to go through the pain. You'll know the significance when you mingle in the Internet Wrestling community. ofcourse, but the fun is in watching if both competitors r fighting for win, predetermined matches take the sheen off, like a fixed cricket match,no?

PG era:whack: ps; another frequent visitor of the wrestlingforums site:dance: Attitude era involved extremely controversial vulgar stuff. Fans loved it like anything. Shawn Michaels was primarily the one responsible for bringing it along with his real life friend Hunter (HHH), and Hunter's girlfriend Jonie Lawler (Chyna). Thereafter Steve Austin took over after HBK's retirement from active in ring action. Michaels was a completely different guy before he found God and came back in 2002. He was the most vulgar, controversial, deplorable and obnoxious performer on screen. You won't even believe how vulgar and obnoxious he was untill you watch those old episodes of the old WWF. Backstage, he was known to be an absolute muppet. Played backstage politics, tried to hold talents down, refused to job to people and what not.

It's the performance of those wrestlers, the moves they put up in the ring which is the cream for most legitimate Internet wrestling fans.

Those DVD's are worth in gold.

Zelig Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Kayfabe lives on B-> Did you know when Brett Hart faked an injury (as part of the storyline) some ADULTS called on the hospital(he was admitted to) and checked on his health. The next day, the hospital had to put a message on their site saying that people who are interested in knowing Brett Hart's well being should contact wwe:hysterical::hysterical:

Bublu Bhuyan Posted May 1, 2010 Author Posted May 1, 2010 For me the best Story line was between Stonecold Vs Vince and his family enjoyed every moment of it.. the Beer truck episode was simply hilarious... then followed by Stonecold and Rock... I do miss those days... sometimes i used to miss part of cricket to watch Wrestle Mania , Royal Rumble .. During those days used to hate Generation X ... they were spoiled party ... Today they have reunited DX but its not the same like before... :(( The reunion in 2006 was just an attempt to boost the ratings, nothing more. The real DX was when Shawn Michaels formed it with Hunter and Chyna in 2007, when they were feuding with the Hart Foundation. Then came Rick Rude. That was the real DX - arrogant, cocky, rule breaking, anti-authority, disrespectful, rude, obnoxious and vulgar. Michaels at that time was the epitome of playing the character of the leader of DX. He used to be simply the most obnoxious character on air. Back then he could do anything that was asked of him - strip on camera, play the arrogant, cocky heel to perfection, utter deplorable profanities like only he could, etc. The 2006 DX reunion was a joke. Simply because Michaels was the cream of DX back when it was originally formed. And after 2002, he was a completely changed man. He found God, became a Born Again Christian, married his wife in about 2000, then had his son in the same year, his daughter was born in 2004. He was completely changed, and he couldn't do any of those stuff he used to do back in 1997.
