The theatre was packed with movie goers of all ages, from children to teenagers to adults A few random thoughts: 1. The movie utilizes every cliche and stereotype available 2. A non existent story. Seems like they made stuff up as they went along 3. Action sequencies => Loud, Hectic and Inelligeable. The action sequences are shot in extreme close up with motion blur. It is difficult and almost incomprehensible to determine who is fighting whom. 4. The only jokes are the types you find in tasteless teen sex romp movies. 5. Too long. ~ 3 hrs 6. Dialogue extremely corny and cheesy. Leave your brain at home. Otherwise, you'd be cringing every few minutes. I was. In short, its shyt.

Why do these monster movies and SciFi movies use this motion blur style and quick cam work? Is it cheaper than the ones with clear shot. This is one reason I like the korean movie "The Host". The monster is shown clearly and it has lots of screen time.

The Host....I didnt like that at all. I thought they could have done a better job with the monster and the animation of it.

I thought they could have done a better job with the monster and the animation of it. According to the director he wanted it to look like real mutated fish like creature not some Godzilla. It was meant to be sloppy. Its made on modest budget so you can't expect exceptional graphics, but its the simplicity of the movie that impressed me.
