Why do you abhor such shows?
Generally, I don't like movies or plays on religion/riots/history/wars etc. Give me an old David Dhawan+ Govinda or K-Jo + SRK or any Farhan Akhtar movie over this stuff anytime.

In last 15 days or so: Udaan - very touching story, hugely Impressed with acting of little kid, unbelivably realistic Patiala House - not as good as I was expecting... The Social Network - Just Good Despicable Me - Very nice one, animated... comedy... good time pass Legend of the Guardians - Probably the best graphics I have seen in any animated movie, even better than PIXAR I'd say...

This morning i went to see 127 hours. 3/5. Good movie, shows how determination and will power can make all the difference even when the odds are stacked against you. BUT that scene where he has to cut off his hand was very crude. They shouldn't have shown it or done it more aesthetically. I haven't had food yet :(( Movies like this make you think. What if it were me in Aron's shoes? I think I would prefer death than living without a hand. But I guess all this is easy to say from the comfort of your home. :((

This is a movie based on true events and I've heard that this is the way the man actually cut his hand off so it may be crude but its accurately depicted in the movie :fear:

Deception: The film started well and the build up was also good, but then they lost it towards the end. Besides, Huge Jackman's character has a touch of psycho to it, which I dint like. However has everything a masala movie is supposed to have - action, sex, dialogs, a psycho villain, mystery, money, idiotic police, twists and turns. But the movie is still average. 5/10.

Momento is another example of blatant plagiarsim by Hollywood. They are lucky we don't have stringent Intellectual Property laws here. Or else.... The movie is based completely on the item number "Shiela ki Jawani". The main protagonist, like Shiela, keeps asking "whats my name? , whats my name?" Shameless copycats. :nono:
Ghajini is the prequel to Memento. After Lenny kills Ghajini A.K.A John Ghajini A.K.A John G (the actual one). He then goes on to kill other unrelated John G's in the movie Memento. Now based on the screenplay of Memento with the story going backwards, it only makes sense to have the prequel release after this movie.
