Guest Hiten. Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Saw Wednesday.....amazing movie Past few movies in bollywood have been surprisingly good. Now that the 'big banner' producers have taken a break (THANK GOD), all the 'low budget' movie makers have been sticking their head out and making some terrific out-of-bollywood style movies (that's right, no hollywood inspirational movies). Movies that I recall: - Aamir - Mumbai Meri Jaan - A Wednesday - Rock On (Not really a small banner but really a big one either) - Bachna Ae Haseeno (sure, one of the few decent big banner movie of the year imo) - Jaane tu..... (....its Aamir Khan production, need I mention more ?...expect quality when its an AK productions) Did I miss any of the 'small' banner movie(s) ? Bollywood has in it and will deliver good movies only if these 'low-budget' film makers/ directors are given more chance(s). I hope I have not jinxed it
DomainK Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 bb, be patient for the chopras, the bhatts and the johars to come back with some crap. I have been watching the promo of that animated movie that Yashraj is making with Disney. The animation looks good, but I am afraid the content will be *****y.
Guest Hiten. Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 That's what I am afraid of. 'Aam janta' has to stop prioritizing movies based on the banner. Singh is Kinng was a blockbuster because Akki is loved by most of the desi aunties in the world and as you know, aunties wouldn't go to theatres by themselves......saari paltan jaati hain :cantstop:
Desi Cartman Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I still dont understand why Veer zara was a hit. Was it the banner or SRK ?
