DomainK Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Just came back from Rab Ne Banadi Jodi. The movie started brilliantly and went on damn well for about 30 minds. Then they messed up real bad. I have never seen such a potent story so badly messed up. Weak characterization and very weak screen play. So bad that you would feel angry for throwing away such a good plot. Two of the worst performances I have seen recently. SRK is crap. The chick has nothing but a sweet smile. Didnt expect dialogs to be so weak and repetitive in an Adi Chopra movie (loved the dialogs in Mohabbatein). Adi Chopra seems to be still living in the DDLJ days. What a mess of a movie.:wall:

Guest Hiten. Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Watched Slumdog Millionaire.... THOROUGHLY enjoyed it.... Great movie....Brilliant Listening to A.R.Rahman's music in the movie is even more effing better, innit :yay: What performances by the cast :nice:
ludhianvi Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Listening to A.R.Rahman's music in the movie is even more effing better, innit :yay: What performances by the cast :nice: Yes, the music fit quite nicely within the movie. I liked Jai Ho, Liquid Dance, and to some extent Saya. The paper planes was also good but I had heard that before so a little biased there. The music uses a lot of different tracks which I found were not noticeable in the movie. The OST clearly distinguishes this and makes a pleasant hearing experience. Although the overall acting was good, the acting by the kids was exceptional...really liked their acting and the toughness that hey portrayed at various times. Any other movies like this? I really love these type of movies

I really love these type of movies This movie is adaption from a novel. Compare this with Hello (another adapted version of 2nd best seller). Atul Aghnihotri (ffs, how can you let him direct??) ***ed up the movie royally and made the novel author look like dunce. Danny Boyle on the other hand, (IMO) portrayed all the relevant chapters from the book beautifully. I am still surprised that no other Indian director tried to make a movie out of this novel. I think Indian directors (genuine ones...not Atul types) should go for making movies out of Indian novel...so people like me who don't read can actually enjoy it :--D
