I don't see why a Muslim should protest the death sentence of a so called fellow Muslim if he is indeed guilty. Police also resorted to tear smoke and baton charges to disperse stone-throwing mobs in other parts of the capital city. The clashes continued till late in the evening. The security forces had a tough time dealing with the stone-pelting mobs in the city. Reports from north Kashmir's Baramulla and Sopore towns said police used tear smoke and batons to disperse the stone pelters. Police also used batons in south Kashmir's Anantnag town to chase mobs pelting stones and shouting slogans. People of Kashmir consider themselves to be a separate nation, and those militants fighting for their freedom are their heros. Hence, the protest. Here the terrorist is from Pakistan, nor was he fighting for the people of Kashmir. Completely different circumstances.

With mordern methods of narco analysis and brain mapping, no man on earth can stop himself from revealing his secrets. They dont use the third degree torture you see in movies. Its not about being tough or soft. The FBI and the CIA dont use force. They use chemicals to make people sing. Kasab spoke under the infulence of narco analysis

Then he started crying asking him to be put on saline saying he doesn't want to die. It's a clear case. He is just a normal kid who was brainwashed with religion and lured with money into doing what he did. There's no way he possesses even 0.1% of the mental toughness that the hardcore Islamic terrorists like those in the Taliban posses. He himself said that he was trained for barely 6 months before the operation was scheduled.

Why do you think Afzal Guru is not getting hanged despite being convicted by the apex courts?. There is no other reason but a fear of backlash from the muslim community. Google for Batala House encounter and read the related stories of the reactions in Azamgarh. Do you see any similar portest happening in Indore from where the ATS has been arresting people in relation to some blasts? Agreed a terrorist has no religion, but that doesn't mean one should keep shying from accepting the reality and hoping fr thinsg to take care of themselevs, which is exactly what we have seen in the last 10-12 years.

Tomorrow, it'll be the turn of the defense party to ask for life imprisonment or maybe even a lighter sentence than that. The sentence will be out Thursday. I don't think Kasab has any points in his side to be able to justify not being sentenced to death. Maybe his age is one factor in his side, but other than that there's none.

The court said a suspect's consent was necessary to do the test and even then it could not be treated as evidence. In many recent high-profile cases, Indian investigators have conducted these tests to find leads. Correspondents say the ruling effectively means the police will no longer be able to do such tests. "Narco, brain mapping and polygraph tests are illegal and a violation of personal liberty," a three-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan ruled. The court's order came in response to petitions filed by several accused questioning the validity of narco and brain mapping tests. In the test, a suspect is injected with sodium penthanol, a chemical that numbs powers of perception and supposedly makes it difficult for a person to lie during questioning. The test results were never admissible in court as evidence, but police often made accused take these tests to get "vital clues" in a case. Brain mapping and narco tests were conducted on the arrested Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy.
