Precambrian Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 There are no lifelines as I don't see any fresh evidence emerging strong enough to nullify considerable existing evidence against him. He can probably extend his hanging by going to High Court and Supreme Court, but eventually it just extends his tortured life in jail. Presidential pardons won't be issued as this is a case of crime against nation. HIH Hang in hell you inhuman. May your torture continue in your afterlife till you repent it sincerely.

Lifelines in the sense that now the High Court will review the entire trail, and then will decide whether to approve it or order a re-trial. If it's approved, Kasab can appeal to the Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court dismisses his appeal, he can ask for Presidential pardon. I'm sure he'll opt for every option possible. Times of India clearly states that the hanging will take at least another year's time.

You care about barbaric for a merciless killer who had acted barbarically himself and gunned down nearly a hundred innocents .. that must be one of the biggest joke I have heard Hope that no court respites him and he is hanged till death if possible in front of public viewing and especially infront of Pakis .. give him such a torturous death than Pakis will shiver at the thought of terror attacks on India again

The only thing that'll come out of it is that it'll take lots of time.[/quote'] It wont be that long in this case as there is more than enough evidence for every court to reject his appeals .. but in a normal case it is surely a big problem .. it takes ages to get justice and till the time the person gets the sentence either he/she is dead or old enough where death or jail does not make any sense .. this holds true especially for the higher echelons of society

What does that tell you?

Remorse, loneliness, psychological imbalance kills a man like slow poison. Death is quick...it is the humane way of punishing someone.

I have a problem with a society which is appealing to its basest instinct of baying for another human's blood. He will be punished one way or another and we can hardly delude ourselves into believing either form of punishment is humane.

Though I doubt they'd care about a foot soldier like Kasab, its not worth the risk. Also send a message that terrorists will be dealt with in the harshest manner

And what do you mean he will be punished one way or another? What rewards or punishment one gets - we get on this earth....not any heaven or hell. That's just imagination.

More important, if he is in imprisonment, there is a very good chance that someone he will go away like the hijack where we had to give them the jailed terroists or more likely he will used politically to get muslim votes, there are many muslims prisoners who go out of jail by our politicians just to get vote. The thing is he will never change, he will still be anti india so just hang him to finish it once for all
