Like losing to the mighty Zimbabwe at home :hmmm: .... agreed we havent done that.

On another note, Zimbabwe were a pretty decent team up until 2003. Not a mighty strong team, but an extremely decent one. A team which was, on it's day, capable of upsetting any team in the world.

You're kidding? Sri Lanka won the World Cup in 1996. Add to that they whooped us right, left and center throughout 1997. Sri Lanka were minnows until about 1993. After that they started to improve vastly.

And hence the term decent team, not great or fantastic. As for winning a Test series away from home, there was a time until 2004, when we didn't achieve it for more than a decade. The first of our many Test series victories away from home started in 2004 in Pakistan, then in West Indies in 2006, in England in 2007, in New Zealand in 2009 ......(and hopefully in S.L. and S.A. this time around).

Where the fk do you get information from? From the same state media that brainwashes people into believing that everything is a conspiracy or are just plain dumb ? Pak had a W/L ratio of 1.52 in the 90's compared to Aus's 2 and over and Aus had played a lot more too. Aus won 22 more games than Pak in only 32 extra games it played. India had a similar to your "supreme" W/L ratio in the last decade with 1.48. It wasnt the best, it wasnt even the 2nd best but noone really said that India dominated test arena in the 2000's.

Ponting will lead Australia when it attempts to wrest back the Ashes from England at home at the end of the year and is hoping the team can arrange Test matches against India before that series to get more practice in the longer format. Top-ranked India had suggested sacrificing some one-day internationals in favour of Tests as part of a mooted tour in October. Australia has reacted positively to the offer, knowing it only has two Tests arranged against Pakistan in July before its five-Test series against England kicks off in November. "It looks like that tour of India now might be broken up into a few one-dayers and a couple of Test matches," Ponting said. "Ideally for us it would be great if the Test matches were played second in India before we get back to Australia for the start of the Ashes but we'll wait and see how that itinerary works itself out."

I wish they arranged 3 Test matches instead. But anyway, something is much better than nothing. And not that we won't be playing more Test matches either, 3 vs S.L. in S.L., 3 vs NZ in India, 2 vs Aus in India, 3 vs S.A. in S.A.
