satyam1729 Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Sachin, Dravid, Laxman retires? Atleast these guys made India invincible at home and respectable abroad without any great fast bowler. When these 3 will retire and no kumble i think we will struggle to win even at home :nervous:
Ramzz Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 After Jumbo's retirement...we have had trouble bowling teams out cheaply even in India...but nothing lasts for ever...so the selectors should already pick out the players who are potential replacements and give them special training to be ready for the international level.
hari504504 Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 You guys are plain pessimisitc...Laxman took time to establish himself as a fine batsman...I still remember the his first few years when he used to open with the likes of Vikram Rathor or Nayan Mongia..etc We used to be 2 down in notime even in the subcontinent. Give our yougsters time and stop being like the Pak fans.
vipin Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Rohit , Virat, Raina , Manish, Saurabh,Vijay Maybe 3 of these 6 will be able to fill up those slots.
Bradman99 Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 No one will be able to replace Sachin. Dravid and Laxman are both very tough to replace also, but perhaps 2 of those 6 players will over time be able to have a similar stature to these 2.. No chance of being as good as Tendulkar.
WeStMiDz Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Nothing to do with the thread but Ive just noticed Sachin is now on Twitter!
Dinx - the Jinx Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 right topic but at a wrong time... lets discuss test cricket after WC is over

vvvslaxman Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Indian batting won't be in bad shape. I strongly believe we have a very good set of talented batsmen.

Sachin is irreplaceable .. others will be replaced but even players like Dravid who is so technically sound will be hard to replace

vvvslaxman Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Sunil was not replacable. Kapil was not replacable. Without replacing them we moved on. We keep getting gifted batsmen. Azharuddin, Tendulkar, Dravid, Veeru.
