kabira Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 ok so pak in we need miracle to get in. First giving thrashing to lanka and then hoping aussies beat windies. Oh well, if we can't go, I wish windies go in.
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 India are through to the semis. How? See below 1) Aussies are too good. WI have absolutely no chance at all 2) India can beat SL by more than 20 runs. This margin is no problem at all and they have the batting fire power to do just that

This margin is no problem at all and they have the batting fire power to do just that our batting hasn't clicked at all .. they will be circumspect ... 20 runs means we definately have to get 170 + and with out bowling god only knows. atleast pak bowling has been consistently firing barring that match against australia. both our disciplines have gone down the drain add to that fielding woes.
kabira Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 ^oh well, I see India beating Lanka and Aussie beating Windies. But 20 runs victory is big victory, thats what I am not sure about.
Asim Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 In my opinion Pakistan's overall chances today were <33% only and they did it. Indian chances I feel, are >66%, so surely they will also make it, they should mke it.
Karan114 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 2) India can beat SL by more than 20 runs. This margin is no problem at all and they have the batting fire power to do just that Personally, I don't see India beating Lanka, but as a general point, 20 runs is by no means a small margin in T20 cricket.
ali0786 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 what happens if WI somehow beat Aus? Pak will still play Aus right because Aus has a really high NRR?
vvvslaxman Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Aus will steam roll WI so easily. 99% certainty. same like SL will steamroll India.
vvvslaxman Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Personally' date=' I don't see India beating Lanka, but as a general point, 20 runs is by no means a small margin in T20 cricket.[/quote'] Yup It is a huge margin. SL will always have the luxury of reducing the target and going after it. Only way India can win this is by batting first and putting up a total like 300 runs in 20 overs.. if Jadeja included means 400 runs in 20 overs. They might just beat SL by 22 runs.
Karan114 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 if Jadeja included means 400 runs in 20 overs. :haha: So true...

Serani Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 what happens if WI somehow beat Aus? Pak will still play Aus right because Aus has a really high NRR? But WI will no way beat Aus so it doesnt matter even contemplating.
f2000560 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 But WI will no way beat Aus so it doesnt matter even contemplating. is that a hint of sarcasm ?? one man can take you through though CHris Gayle !!! i wouldn't mind that except will have to deal with idiotic hurricane puns as headlines again !
kabira Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 if we manage to beat lanka as well as their NRR, I would support Aussies But if we don't, I would like windies to go thru.
