vvvslaxman Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I get sadistic pleasure every time India loses a T-20 game. I hope India loses so many of them that the Indian fan loses interest in the format completely (which they may have by now but for IPL) which is the fastest way to kill this format :) They are already doing that.India has lost 9 out of last 11 T20 games against top teams. :winky:
asterix Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 every format is imp... it just winning team appriciating that format like collingwood theses dayz.... anyone can win t20 format... test match and odI r diffierent I feel that winning is a habit. it's not something you can force somebody to do that. England's T20 win is in continuation of their success in other formats, in the recent past. Also winning T20 WC will also give them confidence and a hunger to do well in other formats too.
Pioneer Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I don't even consider T20 as a form of cricket. I'm not bothered if you lose every T20 game we play. Yet on the other hand' date=' just one ODI loss puts me off. That was not the case years ago, when losing was a habit of ours. But that's changed since the last couple of years or so after we started doing really well. As for Test cricket, a single loss is a match is good enough to put a scar on my heart for more than a year.[/quote'] As someone mentioned earlier in another thread, I think it was Domaink not sure, but T20 is most likely going to be the future. I'm not saying Tests and ODI's are going to be obliterated because I love watching Tests and ODI's all the same, and personally a test series victory is at the top of the top but I feel that in the future, people are going to associate cricket with T20 as it is easier to grasp and watch especially for people new to cricket therefore I feel we are going to be seeing alot of T20 in the future just to attract a bigger audience. I mean to outsiders, T20 would be a quick exciting three hour game as opposed to a long , possibly boring 7 hour ODI, or a never-ending 5 day test match. From their viewpoint.

From their viewpoint. To be honest majority of the T20s that took place in the world T20 were utterly boring. Most of them were one-sided. Just 1 or 2 matches were interesting.

You have lost 6 out of the last 8 matches against top teams. You are yet to beat India in T20 :giggle: Definitely must be liking it.

Jersey #10 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 T20 is the future face of Cricket. Sorry to mention that the amount of Tests played per year is going to decrease significantly in the upcoming decades. Requirement of having technically correct placement will be history. The kids will laugh at Dravid's game and Laxman will be the Joker/failure for them. ODI will be around for a while though and that's enough for me to adore Cricket. Hell with those 5 days non resulting matches.
Serani Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Not really, maybe in India but in england kids will always care more about tests due to the media saying the ashes is the most important thing of all time. England and Aus are the only nations that care about tests in truth but tests are not going to just vanish one day.
TheWall Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 How can we beat india if they keep on taking early exit :hysterical: when given a chance in 07, u failed :hysterical::hysterical:
