jukkha Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I don't think we have had a great record since changing our one day kit to the darker blue. Yeah we have won many one day series in this colour but we have also got out early in 2 consecutive t20 world cups. The series against australia hurt too.. and this zimbo series is embarrasing!!! lets go back to powder blue for the men in blue! am i clutching at straws, lol!!
DomainK Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 No, you are not clutching at straws. You are just being hysterical standing in ankle deep water imagining that you are drowning. While this series gives some clear signs of trouble in future, team India has been doing very well in both formats of the game. This series is an exception.
Serani Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 quite like the kit tbh. although too many teams play in blue, England, Sri Lanka, India.
mastana Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 quite like the kit tbh. although too many teams play in blue, England, Sri Lanka, India. Add Afghanistan to that list.
Serani Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I wonder if a kit change will help Bangladesh? Certainly worth a try, maybe WI can try it too.
Riley's Girl Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 WTF? Kit's not gonna improve the skills + I like the kit. The powder blue reminds me too much of the rugby team I love to HATE.
Serani Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 goddy got 200 in this kit.. Imagine if he was in powder blue.....300 not out.
Riley's Girl Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Add Afghanistan to that list. & provincial teams: Cape Cobras, Titans, Victoria Bushrangers & IPL teams: DD, DC, RR, MI
zubinpepsi Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Imagine if he was in powder blue.....300 not out. well we tried that.. he sucked real bad in that.. so this dark blue and adidas is better for goddy... if goddy does well.. we are the champions..
Lord Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 how about giving powder blue to kit to some of the players?u know the women's kit is still powder blue
jukkha Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 lol oops yeah nearly forgot about 200 not out! Anyone got a full photo set of all the kits we have had in the past? Lets comment on the ones we love and hate! I think my worst memory was the 87? world cup kit. the team looked like work men in a boiler room!

To be honest I preferred India's powder blue over the current dark blue. The current color is pretty close to the lankan blue and have no idea why they changed it in the first place :dontknow: But yeah never realized it before but to think of it, India's resullts have been pathetic since they started playing in the new kit. I long for the days when we played in powder/sky blue kit and won T20 cup and CB Series in Aus :)
Karan114 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I long for the days when we played in powder/sky blue kit and won T20 cup and CB Series in Aus :) Do you also long for the days when we were thrown out of the World Cup by Bangladesh in that sky blue kit? :winky:
riya Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 We can't blame our lack of planning, bench strength and skills on the Kit. However i personally dislike this color, for me light blue is always the Indian color. This is same as Lankans.
kabira Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 lol oops yeah nearly forgot about 200 not out! Anyone got a full photo set of all the kits we have had in the past?
