I have seen him play some domestic cricket.He is a decent bat,has some patience and has a rather very subdued technique.A good prospect for Aus but i am not sure whether he will make the cut to the final XI or not,given that the Aussies already have some good young talent in test already lined up.

But I think it's a matter of when not if he will play for Aus. Hughes is the next batsman to come in I reckon.

Well if you ask me,Aussie already have a good bunch of players sitting on the bench.Callum Ferguson, White as a batsman will be picked ahead of Usman IMO.They also have some good players who have done well for their state but not so for their countries, whenever i think of that, Brad Hodge comes to my mind immediately.Will he ever make a cut into the Aussie side now ?

He's retired from it now days though, so no chance. Hmm I forgot about White, he wouldn't be far off... I think Ferguson is a bit behind Usman for tests tbh, but he's definately in contention for one dayers when he gets back from injury.

Well FTBs all right but its very hard to find non flat tracks anywhere, even the NZ Tracks are turning batting friendly day by day.With that, even the batsman are more used to the flat decks nowadays. BTW Prof you haven't yet settled the SBL of the Tri Series, plz do so fast

Cricket Australia Doctor Trefor James said despite being on recovery path, Haddin doesn't seem fit enough for the Twenty20 and Test series against Pakistan which is scheduled after the ongoing ODI series against England. "We had hoped to give Brad Haddin as much time as possible to prove his fitness for this series but after specialist review today in Sydney it is now clear his elbow tendon injury has not improved sufficiently for him to be selected," James said. Haddin said he was disappointed to miss out. "...especially frustrating in this situation where I can do everything but pick up a cricket bat. I have been extremely aggressive in the treatment process of this tendon injury doing everything I possibly could to play in the upcoming Test matches against Pakistan," he said. The stumper now hopes to be fit for the tour of India this October. "Now that I have time on my hands, the specialist and I are very confident I can let the injury repair itself in normal time and be ready to go for our next tour to India in October," he said.
