Zaheer Khan has missed what 3/4 test matches due to injury since his come back in 2006? For the amount of cricket Zaheer Khan has played in (ODI/Test) over the last four years he's far and away one of the most durable bowlers in the world. But leave it to Indian fans to hyperventilate and exagerate every thing.

Missed the Australia series in 2008, SA test series in 2008, recent SA 2nd test (2nd innings), SA ODI series, was injured during t20 WC 2009, missed t20 WC 2010, CT 2009 besides missing a host of ODIs as well in the last 2 years! Doesn't make a very good reading.

Unfrtunately the tests he has missed have all been against Australia and SA!! And the important ICC events as well. As the premier bwler of the side, it doesn;t help the team playing a series with your lead strike bowler missing.

Harbhajan Singh, temporarily laid low by a bacterial infection, was missed just as much. While Ishant Sharma was unlucky not to have struck with the new ball, Abhimanyu Mithun could do little with Kookaburra. I agree. Munaf is not a wicket taking threat. He'll bowl wicket to wicket on a tight line and restrict the batsmen but apart from a decent yorker he's got nothing else in his bowling that's going to intimidate or threaten the batsmen. It's going to be up to Ishant to make the early breakthroughs and the spinners to do the rest. Hopefully we can win the toss and put on the pressure having to bowl last.
