Texy Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 A young Indian medical student, returning from Turkmenistan, gave birth to a baby aboard a plane and tried to flee after leaving behind the newborn in the toilet. She was later arrested, police said on Wednesday. According to the airport police, the woman was identified as Amandeep Kaur Mann, a resident of Punjab's Hoshiarpur town. She left the child in the plane's toilet and came out of the aircraft when it landed at the Rajasansi international airport here Wednesday. Thenewborn was later recovered by the aircraft crew and taken to a hospital here, officials said. Amandeep was a medical student of a college in Turkmenistan and had boarded the flight from its capital Ashgabat. "While in the flight, Mann was very disturbed and she was rushing to the toilet very frequently. Some co-passengers and the aircraft staff also inquired about her health," a police official said. "But after the plane landed, she immediately got down and tried to flee but was apprehended by the airport police. The aircraft crew was shocked to hear the baby crying inthe toilet," he added. Police said that initially Amandeep refused to admit that she had given birth to the child but broke down and confessed during interrogation. A case has been filed against her. Both the woman and her baby were admitted to a hospital and doctors said their condition was normal. What an inhumane lil b!tch ....so you go to some fked up 3rd world country to study "medicine" coz you're too stupid to get admission in your own country or somewhere decent...you end up screwing some local dude 'coz you couldn't keep your legs closed...and now 9 months later you try to leave the freakin baby in a plane bathroom? what if no one noticed? what if the baby died? how the fk do you live with yourself or call yourself a med student?
Desi Cartman Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Mum flushes newborn baby down plane toilet: report An Indian woman gave birth to a baby in the bathroom of an international passenger plane and tried to dispose of it down the toilet, according to media reports in New Delhi. The infant was found stuck in the toilet after the plane landed in Amritsar, northern India, and was rushed to hospital still attached to the toilet bowl, police and doctors told the Press Trust of India news agency. H.P. Singh, a doctor at the Escorts Hospital near the airport, said that a team of surgeons used a saw cutter to clear the newborn's head from the toilet. The 22-year-old mother was reported to have left the plane when it landed, and was later arrested in the airport after the cabin crew on the Turkmenistan Airlines flight found her baby. Doctors at the hospital said the infant was in a critical condition. Newspapers reported the mother was an unmarried medical student returning home after completing a degree abroad. The origin of the flight was unclear, though the Indian Express said it had taken off from the city of Ashgabat in Turkmenistan :dontknow:
achilles Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Ridiculous. The Indian mentality of "what will the society say" caught up with her, albeit too late, may I add. But to be fair to her, maybe she had her reasons. Having said that, no mother should abandon her child.
Desi Cartman Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 punjabi_khota aey ki kitta :giggle: btw Tex1des , we shouldn't address other countries as 3rd world especially when our own pyara bharat isnt really first world

Having said that, no mother should abandon her child. these girls only think of the society when it's time to give birth not when having 'sex before marriage' ? pehle kyun nehi socha? I don't get it....some people are against abortions but ok with giving birth then abandoning the baby.... you're not only destroying his or her future but also letting them grow up all by themselves....only very select few get good foster homes.... isse to achha ke bacche ko abort kar de before the embryo turns into fetus and gets a heartbeat
Roshanrocks Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 i think she was secretely coming to india to abort the baby, but the baby foiled her plans

They need to take responsibility for their actions. And if pre-marital sex is a taboo for them, which seems to be the case with this Punjabi lady, they should have an open communication about it with their respective partners. If they are knowingly doing what they are, they must stand by their decision coz the innocent baby will be getting punished for no mistake on its part. It puts the child's future in jeopardy. About time some women realise that you can't cry out of every problem.

Clarke Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 So its known, she was a freak. Let the law of the land prevail. Whats concerning is she was studying medicine in Turkmenistan. Plenty of Indian students head to various countries to pursue higher education. This is fine when they attend good universities. However, there has been the trend to pursue professional degrees in coveted areas such as medicine when the person in question is not able to do so in India because of academic and/or financial reasons. What exactly are the admission requirements for these universities ? Are these recognized by the concerned organizations such as the Medical Council of India which has not been corruption free as such ? What is the level of competence of these prospective doctors (or other professions) before and after the degree completion ? She couldn't deal with her own pregnancy for this long! I cannot believe this kind of category 5 moron is capable of being a doctor and shudder at the thought of her with a stethoscope around her neck, let alone surgical instruments in her hands.
Ram Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Reading the comments here, you’d think some of these guys were literally there and saw the whole thing happen in front of their eyes, right from the point when the girl went abroad to the point when she came back. Nobody knows the actual circumstances of what actually happened, but who cares eh, as long as it is an ideal opportunity to call a girl all sorts of names?
Clarke Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 ^^ She tried to flee .. a newborn is in the toilet .. she visited the toilet multiple times .. confessed during interrogation. Unless ur coming up with another plot similar to 12 angry men, whats there to know :hmmm:
