The enemity aside, its really most surprising for people from any country seeing the kind of support Afridi gets and the excuses fans make for him. Leaving a young team like a coward in the middle of a tour is seen as bravery? In what world? Maybe he really wasnt cut for test cricket but why the half-hearted attempt while representing the nation? David wasnt cut to stand up to Goliath but he had the guts. Similarly Ireland had the guts to take on Pak in a world cup. What Afridi did was not bravery. it might be brave for any other man to admit he is a failure. But all afridi cares for is the cameras. His legacy is on such hollow foundations, that he needs to reassure himself by being in the media all the time. He would be ready to admit whatever anyone wants as long as he is in the news As for hatred on this forum, most sane and above legal age posters on most Pak forums were condemning him with similar words

Everybody hates the village idiot. The village idiot adored for his idiocy by a bunch of morons. Worse yet, the morons who support him and spin every idiocy into something good. No, dancing on the pitch has got nothing to do with his passion to win. No,Playing only in 1 gear for a decade in all forms of game does not make a great hitter.If some half-decent batsman does that in any other country, he would have become a T20 specialist in club competition. No, ball biting doesn't show his "beastiness". Its like religion.A lot of pakis adore this idiot. To each his own. Remember, when he first quit, he tried to mask it with an imaginary injury. Only after he had time, did he have more reasons to quit.
