Ram Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 The PCB’s entire approach to cricket is so short-term, they couldn’t see a huge iceberg right in front of their eyes. Their approach has always been ‘So what do we need to do to give ourselves the best chance to win the next match/series?’. In this case, the answer would be to bring back experienced hands like Younis/Yousuf to bolter a schoolboy batting line-up. But what they don’t realize is the kind of damage this quick-fix, do-whatever-it-takes to get results approach is causing them. Their cricket is in such doldrums, Gambit’s spoof of 11 blind men from Liechtenstein beating them in a game of cricket could come true after all. You really need don’t need to do much against them to win – Just assemble a team of 11, get them into the field and watch as the Paks disintegrate right in front of your eyes.
DomainK Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Mohammad Yusuf? Whoz that? Oh, that guy who first changed from one religion to another? Then stabbed his team on the back and defected to a rebel league for money? Then stabbed the rebel league on the back and defected to his own team. Then when the rebel league threatened with a law suit, he stabbed his own team on the back again and defected back to the rebel league. Then when the rebel league looked close to drowning, he defected back to his own team. Then he retired. Then he un-retired. Then his team, as a reward for the back stabbings and defections, made him captain. Then after a disastrous series, the team stabbed him on the back and banned him. Then he retired (declaring however that he was retiring just for the time being). Then he was unbanned and then he un-retired yet again. That Mohammad Yusuf? A very loyal guy with integrity as you can see above. You say he is coming back? But didnt they ban him just a few months ago for playing bad against Australia? They are bringing him back to play against Australia in the very next series??
