DomainK Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Impressed by whatever I have seen of him so far. Nice, easy run up, good seam position and he is constantly hitting the right length. Not bad at all for his first match. I am sure though that his true test will come when he will have to bowl on more difficult/batsman friendly wickets. So far he has been good. I dont give a damn what he did in the warm up match. For all we know, Dhoni probably had given him a license to experiment promising that it would not affect his chances in the real matches.
EnterTheVoid Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Plus he got the wicket and kept beating the bat whilst Ishant kept giving 4's
Roshanrocks Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Yea.. he bowled better than the other guy... he made the Sri Lankan scorecard look decent instead of incredible
IKnowU Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Impressed as usual with any other debutant Desi bowler in the past........theres no point judging him currently regardless if he does good or bad.

But still he needs lot of fine tuning and is by no means a finished article. BTW, even Ishant isn't a finished article. Both are work in progress.
IKnowU Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 yea we get impressed' date=' n then after a few months , we will throw hiim back to the bin[/quote'] Which bowler havent we thrown out in the bin? :dontknow:
Roshanrocks Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Which bowler havent we thrown out in the bin? :dontknow: Kapil Dev :isalute: except towards the end of his career tongues were wagging
imran666 Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Which bowler havent we thrown out in the bin? :dontknow: ravinder jadeja :haha:
CSK Fan Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 If the wicket has something in it, he will be quite a handful. i am also an advocate of giveing Praveen kumar a chance in tests. He can mve the ball both ways at good length
The Dark Horse Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 he gets the ball in, would be lethal if he develops an outswinger. I think with this kind of action, pace will be the difference.
ZodiaC Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I won't jump the gun as all our trundlers start of well, and none actually continue to be consistent.

jusarrived Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 the way he is built should be bowling much quicker , but hes only 20 years ..leets see if he can again some pace unlike other bowlers Hes got a very impressive bouncer though & perry accurate yorker ...worst case , he should be useful in ODI's at least.
thevortex Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I am not sure his action would stand the grind of international cricket. Something very strange about it - biomechanically speaking. Extremely open action and he always ends up bowling wide of the crease. It is definitely going to have an impact on both his sides as well as lower back over time.
cowboysfan Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 i agree with the vortex on mithun, lots of things happening during delivery.i think they should stick with him in format and see how it works.
