Completely Wrong. He stays till the End because we dont have relaible Finsher as good as Dhoni and lower Middle order batsman. Its not hiding, Its shielding the Team. So that the Tail doesnt need to face the Music so early.

I dont think he usually Fails. He is technically not sound, so obvious for him not to score at an avg of 50. How many batsmen coming in at no.7 scores at that rate? With taht he has scored beter than anyone coming at that position currently. Not just that he has played many crucial knocks against Top Sides coming in at that number. As a Wicket keeper Batman in ODis, he is currently the Best. In tests he is very good.

Wrong. After becoming Captain he has limited his strokes. That has helped. He was over agressive when he wasnt captain.

Dhoni averages 38 and 39 at no. 6 and 7.:giggle: He has fared well in 2,3 and 4. Gilly was supposed to get Aussies off to a flyer ala Sehwag, plus play out the swinging new ball - where there's every possibility of getting out early.
