You need Skill to Inflate AVG. Had it been so easy any no-7 Batsman would have had that.

Currently Dhoni is the Best WK batsman in ODI's. Comeback when you have beter arguemnts. Not lame ones how he stays not out to boost his avg. If it was intentional , others would have done that too, who wouldnt want to 'Inflate' his avg.

really??? after dhoni arrival india has won around 65% games.He has been no 1 in icc rankings for more than 70 weeks.i think u forgo the way he humilated pak bowlers.he is far more consistent than gilly.

It was thanks to the consistent performance of the openers (especially Viru) which we didn have for a long time and of course the Fab Four (in tests) and the quick rise of the youngsters (in ODIs). You did expect your middle order batsmen to be far more consistent, unlike the top order. So that argument (consistency) don't stand.

MS plays his role wonderfully well and the batsmen batting above him in the batting order are prime reasons for Dhoni's success down the order. Having a Sehwag hammering the bowlers from the up, while the likes of Gambhir and Rahul build an innings, with Sachin & VVS playing special knocks does rub onto the players in the lower middle order and it makes their task a bit easier.
