Feed Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Nehra & Kohli to train at NCA More... Nehra & Kohli to train at NCA Bangalore: With another Sri Lankan trip looming large, Ashish Nehra and Virat Kohli reached the National Cricket Academy here on Tuesday for some added practice and fitness sessions. The two players were part of India's title-winning squad at the Asia Cup in Dambulla on June 24 with Nehra grabbing four wickets as Sri Lanka slumped to an 81-run loss in the final. Nehra and Kohli will train at the NCA till their departure for Colombo on Thursday. The two Delhi teammates will head to Dambulla again as the town gears up for the Tri-Series from August 10 to 28. Besides India and Sri Lanka, the ODI tournament also features New Zealand. India will open its campaign with a match against New Zealand on August 10.

Mamu Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Dumbo-Lala Beckons ! If I am not wrong the whole tri-series is at DumboLala! -- ins't it? It is just going to be another Win The Toss - Win The Game series ! As indicated by this scorecard! http://www.cricinfo.com/sri-lanka-v-new-zealand-2010/engine/current/match/470603.html
kabira Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 all games are day nighters so yes its win the toss and win the game thing here. They may well just flip the coin and go home
Lord Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I hardly care about this series.Cheeka has chosen a paetic squad n there isnt much to look out for.still i'd be looking to see how UV n Veeru bat:eyedance:
Karan114 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Another meaningless tri-series with Lanka and being played at this ridiculously one sided venue only adds to the sense of pointlessness. Yawn.
Sachinism Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Out of the last 10 games 5 won by team batting 1st, 5 won by team batting 2nd :dontknow: http://stats.cricinfo.com/sl-tri2010/engine/records/team/match_results.html?class=2;id=1434;type=ground
kabira Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 only India has won chasing in the lights. rest of wins came against Bangladesh. LOL
The Outsider Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Nothing beckons. I am off to another cricketing hibernation till the October test series against Australia.
saneindian Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 For the likes of Sehwag, Yuvraj, DK, Rohit, Ashwin, Ishant, Ojha this is a perfect chance to put in some solid performances and get into some good form as the countdown to the world cup begins.
Karan114 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 For the likes of Sehwag' date=' Yuvraj, DK, Rohit, Ashwin, Ishant, Ojha this is a perfect chance to put in some solid performances and get into some good form as the countdown to the world cup begins.[/quote'] I'd rather Ishant didn't play limited overs cricket, to be honest.
Guest Hiten. Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Premier League kicks off from next weekend! Good bye boring cricket (till oct) :bye: :yay: VIVA LA CHELSEA :aha:
saneindian Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I'd rather Ishant didn't play limited overs cricket' date=' to be honest.[/quote'] Dambulla might help Ishant get back some of his confidence, especially if we bowl under the lights. He has shown the signs of getting his rhtythm back and if there is any help for the bowlers, he would do well. But yes, it will be good to see Mithun getting a game or two as well.
Lord Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I'd rather Ishant didn't play limited overs cricket' date=' to be honest.[/quote'] ya me too Dambulla might help Ishant get back some of his confidence, especially if we bowl under the lights. He has shown the signs of getting his rhtythm back and if there is any help for the bowlers, he would do well. But yes, it will be good to see Mithun getting a game or two as well. Ishant was never a great ODI bowleer. It isnt a coincidence that since he was dropped from ODI squad, his test performances have gone up,the pace n penetration has gone up,the aggression has returned.among alll the madness,i thought one good decision that selectors too is to keep Ishant for tests only. i was wrong. now see Ishant getting hammered, try his slower balls, change his action n completely screw up his bowling before the all important Aussie series
