Andy Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Sri Lanka 313-8 Sanga 113 Samraweera-74 Randiv -32 India 20/2 Sehwag and Dravid Gone.
SachDan Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Day clearly belonged to us No one expected India to go past Sri Lanka's total after early exists of Sachin and Veeru yet good partnership between Laxman & Raina defied the threat of Lankan spinners running through our middle and lower order. It was another classy knock from Raina well supported by Lax who as always played his customary 'one good knock' of the series! Then the Mithun & Mishra p'ship was pivotal in helping us go past Lanka :hatsoff: Viru's golden arm doing the tricks rounded off a perfect day for us. Now let's hope our trundlers won't do much damage to our chances early tomorrow :)
Sir john Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 i think india will score 250 runs more only. mere baat sacch ho gayiB->

Andy Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 How can people here predict 'AO'. I dont think our bowlers can take 10 wickets seriously.
The Outsider Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 3rd Test Day 3 discussion thread Well, I am all groggy eyed at work having watched the entire action. Boring run fests are better for my health. But, it was an enthralling day of test cricket. Worth the wake. The highlight of the day has to be the stupid shot selections of Tendulkar, Sehwag, and Dhoni. India could well have been more than 100 runs ahead on the first innings and looking to close out the match. It seems with Malinga's action batsmen can't make out the line of the ball when it is outside the off stump. They tend to think it's much closer to the off stump than it actually is. It was really disappointing to watch these batsmen throw their wickets away. It was a superb fightback from Laxman, Raina, Mithun, and Mishra though. Had Mithun not been given out wrong, we might have had a more than 50 run lead, so demoralized were the Sri Lankans by then. The entire Indian tail looked quite comfortable out there and Sangakkara perhaps made a mistake by over bowling Malinga and Mendis. Randiv has been their best bowler in the test and although Mithun and Ishant's wickets were lucky, he looked probing throughout the day. Ishant's dismissal though turned out to be a blessing in disguise with India getting an awkward 15 overs at the end of the day, which removed the two openers. It's a tough task for both teams now, so evenly is the match poised. India would be looking to get Randiv and one of Sangakkara and Jayawardene very early in the morning. Ishant bowled well and would be crucial in the second innings because he would be able to get the ball to jag off the track. Ironically, Sri Lanka's best chance of winning is for them to get bowled out tomorrow. If they bat into the 5th day to make the match safe, India should be able to negotiate a draw. Huge opportunity for the Indian top order to redeem themselves of the stupid shot selection in the first innings. The pitch has got slower, even though there is extravagant turn, and one would expect this Indian line up to chase down anything below 250.
Lord Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 i feel we r gona miss Bhajji.the pitch is a turner now,n these pitches bring the best out of him,he couldve applied real pressure.cant expect too much from Mishraji.
Jersey #10 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 SL - 296/2 Sanga 150 Randiv - 120 :--D ladka pagla gaya lagta hai :giggle: itne bhi kharab nahi hai hamare bowlers :finger:
