Sid
KT's modus operandi : Stay away from the thread when the player is not performing at his best and then bump the thread at the best possible oppurtunity :winky: Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Well dravid gives me plenty of opportunity to bump this one. As run machine and class Link to comment
King Tendulkar
In the last 3 years (approx when he quit captaincy and Kumble became the captain), he has a 40 average and a 37 run away average. Sure we would have found it difficult to find someone to produce those numbers. :hysterical: Now expect this thread to get bumped when he scores a century after 2 years (if he is still playing), while it lays silent for a while. :winky: Yoda:cantstop: Link to comment
Guest Gunner
I think there were several valid points made about Dravid's retirement and those still hold good. At the end of the day he can play till Oz but then what? We are making the same error as Oz 3 years ago. The fall will be steep. Who is our backup No.3 when Dravid goes? Did we even try to groom a shadow No.3? Link to comment

SachDan
Pujara' date=' [b']Mukund??? There are options Wasn't Mukund a walking wicket according to you? why this sudden change in opinion? :giggle: Link to comment
Guest Gunner
Pujara, Mukund??? There are options Pujara - possible but he should have played atleast 10 games till now as shadow No.3 to pick up the spot smoothly. Mukund - No. He is a specialist opener and apart from that his technique is not tight enough to be No.3. The technical fault which we observed in the windies has been exploited by broad twice in the same bloody game. How about Rohit or do you see him as a No.4? Link to comment

Rohit is 5 or 6 imo. future line up is loaded with players who have had exposure. we will be ok possible future sehwag gambhir pujara/mukund sachin(will play till 45) kohli rohit raina Link to comment

Another player on the watchlist should be Rahane. He can slot in at 3 or 4 as required and Rohit can fit in at 5 when Laxman retires. Link to comment
Sachinism
I must say I thought Dravid was past it, though felt we really couldn't take anyone else to England, as his experience would be unmatched. Glad to see him playing so well. Has looked spectacular this match Link to comment
