Yes' date=' pick and choose whom you and want and whom you and whom you dont want and a case for strike seaming attack, never mind that one of the guy you chose actually got DROPPED because he bowled that poorly and the other guy missed two of three series in consideration due to injury:hysterical:[/quote'] The only way you can make some kind of progress is to show how the spinners actually do bowling in PP and at the death compared to the seamers :winky:

A case for spinners bowling in the death? Who ever made that? Who can ever make that? You're asking someone to post stats when stats for that scenario DONT EVEN EXIST...:haha: Thats not atypical of you though.. Here's your bird-brain complaining that I deliberately left out Ashwin's numbers, when comparing him with Jadeja..
- Then he includes Aswin as he is not originally in the list where he showed Jadeja to have a better ER
There's a reason why Ashwin is not the original list.. He has HARDLY PLAYED ANY ODIs at all... :hysterical: In fact, he has played only ONE ODI and you want me to include him in a discussion of numbers? Once again, that is not surprising coming from you, given how you hastily posted an entire new table of stats consisting of bowlers with 1 match, 3 match, when you realized how your original table was actually contradicting to your claim of a strike seaming attack.. Btw, where are the stats for our bowlers from the 2003 WC that you promising to post? :haha: What an utter tool.... !:hysterical:

So in a way you are agreeing that you can't go in with 2 seamers as if one of the seamers breaks down, Ind run the risk of bowling a spinner at the death, a scenario in your words doesn't exists I guess that ends your playing only 2 seamers in the line up dream :winky:

omg, that's what you understood abt the Ashwin point (that's pathetic comprehension skills) :haha: The point in fact was that you chose Jadeja as a specialist spinner, then you said you didn't. Now you had already claimed that Jadeja has better ER than Ojha and others on the list so technically you could not pick them in your 11 that would go against your ER theory. So you tried to pull out a rabbit from your hat and included Ashiw, who wasn't on the list and like you said hardly played any ODIs :P But ofc you failed miserably and as usual got lauged out of the thread :hehe: Keep digging!

Haha, i know you're slightly mathematically dyslexic (knowing your history of posting numbers that completely contradict your case.. :hysterical:), but how many overs are there in the death? 125? :cantstop:

Bird-brain at it AGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN! How can i include him in the list, where there are NO numbers in the name of Ashwin? What, you want me to simply make stuff-up, like you do? :hysterical:

Bird-brain's list of achievements so far; Post stats that completely contradict his original claim Make claims for bowlers who actually got dropped due to poor performances. Asking stats for scenarios that dont exist.. Asking stats for players who havent played any ODIs.. (This takes the cake..) OMG, I hereby declare you, tool of the year!

Ah ha, still struggling to get the point  Let me repost that. When the mathematically dyslexic bird-brain runs out of things to says, his default line is 'keep digging..'... :hysterical: And bird-brain thinks death overs happen b/w overs 25-35, seeing that he wants spinners to bowl during it. :hysterical:

Let's give the kid a puzzle: Ind goes in with only 2 seamers, with spinners and PT slated to bowl remaining overs. One seamers get injured in the 4th over. Now who would be bowling at the death. One spinner and .... (fill in the blank) And this is based on your suggestion of going in with only 2 seamers :hehe: And nice to know that you have in you to call others bird brains but you should know that birds probably are smarter than you. You are invariable closing your own case of playing 2 seamers

Hahahhaa.. Yes, the other seamer will be kidnapped by aliens and we're completely effed.. So if you're not suffering from your usual bouts of mathematical dyslexia, you start hallucinating? :hysterical: Look at tool making stuff up as usual, just as he asked me make stats for spinners bowling in death overs.. :haha:

Earlier you were complaining abt me picking seamers in my WC team who are likely to get injured and now you see the prospect of a seamer getting injured as .... :P How about providing stats of spinners during PP? Or do you want to avoid answering that too :hehe:

Bird-brain, here's the stats for the overs and economy rate of pacers and spinners bowling during the Power-play 2 of all ODIs played in India since Aug, 2009.
Bowler type	Overs Economy
Pace 36	6.663
Spin	24 6.33

Hahaha.. What an anti-climax.. Turns out, spinners are actually LESS EXPENSIVE than PACERS during Powerplays.. Bird-Brains entire argument blown to pieces.. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: So lets get this straight, Spinners are less expensive during Power plays than seamers.. They're obviously less expensive than seamers when it comes to middle overs.. But hell no, we neeeeeeeed STRIKE SEAAAAAMING ATTACK!

And you expect me to take that at its face value, esp when you have made so many false claims? :P Pick 4 seamers and 4 spinners, that are likely to play in the world cup and show how the comparision :winky:

Hahahah.... B-brain is left completely clueless... Doesnt know what to say, since his entire fundamental argument has been BLOWN TO BITSSSSSSSSSSS You asked for me for stats, i gave you the stats for the above three series..Unlike you, I dont pick and choose the bowlers i like and the bowlers i dont like.. These are for all pacers and spinners who bowled during those matches.. What, feel the ground shaking beneath you? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

So the guys you picked may not be playing the WC and "could" include Tyagi and Mithun's stats :P That's say all about your stats :hehe:

Turns out, I actually left the 5th ODI versus Australia when calculating the stats for Power play 2, so here's the adjusted stats.

Bowler type	Overs Economy
Pace 38	6.91
Spin	27 6.25

Turns out, Bird-brain's STRIKE SEAMINGGGGGGGG Attack did even worse that i originally ESTIMATED... :hysterical:

MOREEEEEEEEE FAAILLLLLLLL..! ::hysterical::hysterical: In the 38 overs bowled by seamers during PP2 in that series, here's the split b/w your STRIKE SEAAAAAAAAAAAMING ATTACK on one hand and Tyagi and Mithun on the other..

Bowler type Overs
STRIKE SEAMERSSS (Zak+Ishant+Kumar+Nehra) 35
Tyagi+Mithun 2

Bird-brain got his ass handed to him, tonight.. :haha::haha::haha: How much pwnage can a man take? :hysterical::hysterical: And here's more PWNAGE, delivered in a friendly PACKAGE.. If we're take ONLY the STRIKEEEEE SEAAAMINGGG Attack of Zak, Ishant, Kumar and Nehra that Bird-brain has been so unabashedly promoting, here's their numbers during their powerplay 2, versus the spinners
Bowler type	Overs Economy
Pace 35	6.8
Spin	27 6.33

Bear in mind, those dont even include the spinners I hand-picked. It includes ALL spinners who bowled during PP2 during our three previous home series versus the pacers the bird-brain hand-picked as his first choice seam attack and still, the spinners come out trumps. :hysterical: FAIL MELA... :hysterical:

And here's more embarrassment for the Bird-brain; For the same matches, here's the stats for our spinners and pacemen, for overs number 15-40.

B/w overs 1-10
Bowler type Overs Economy
Pace 251	6.70
Spin	74 4.77

And if you combine the two table, here's the cumulative stats for overs no. 11-40
B/w overs 11-40
Bowler type Overs Economy
Pace 112	6.77
Spin	278 4.91

But this is hilarious.. The bird-brain kept saying that our pacers ER was higher because they bowled during their initial overs and death. Turns out, their combined ER during the first 10 overs is actually LESSER than their overall ER. :hysterical:
B/w overs 1-10
Bowler type Overs Economy
Pace 126	5.96

And this takes the cake.. The ER of seamers b/w overs 40-50 is actually significantly HIGHER than the spinners;
B/w overs 41-50
Bowler type Overs Economy
Pace 70.5	8.19
Spin	35.5 6.910

So lets get this straight - Our spinners are more economical than our seamers during the bowling PP, they're more economical than the seamers during overs 15-40 and to make it worse, they're even more economical b/w overs 40-50. . :hysterical::hysterical: And remember how the bird-brain kept campaigning for a STRIKEEE SEAMINGGGGGG Attack. Yea, we can have all the seamers we want, but the only problem is, they sucked so much, they hardly EVER complete their quota overs. :haha: In fact, in the last 13 matches we've played at home, they've completed their full quota of 30 overs just ONCE and even though we have played 3 specialist seamers in all of those matches. And our spinners have accomplished all this, despite the fact that 33% of our the overs bowled by spinners is from part-timers.

That looks like another false claim as below is what happened just recently: :P http://www.cricinfo.com/sl-tri2010/engine/match/456662.html Ind vs NZ first ODI of the current tri-series. Mithun is unable to complete his overs because if I am not wrong he suffered sunstroke or something like that (but the point is he wasn't able to finish his quota in the game) :winky: Pawned :hehe:

So you calculated those stats? Which means that the chances of false claims are pretty high :hehe: And for some strange reason, why don't I see the number of overs being bowled? Where is avg and SR? Where is the innings column? :stewie: And judging by your lame responses, it appears as if your ego has been hurt in realization that you are not as smart as you thought you were (poor kid has to type responses after responses to simple statement and then indulge in making false claims. And look at the use of bold letters in your post, oh boy). That's rett effect playing on you. It has happened to many so don't worry

Btw, I went to cricinfo but I couldn't find a way to find a way to do stats for how bowlers fared in say overs 1-15, 16-40, 41-50 But let's talk about Powerplays 1-15: We usually have 3 seamers. So first change is usually made b/w 8 to 12 overs mark. which means that if a spinner is bowling then he probably bowls 1 to 4 overs in the first 15 overs (usually PP1 is taken straightaway) in ODIs. :P So when our friend is saying that spinners are more effective (in terms of ER, other factors he ignored) and that we should go in with only 2 seamers in the world cup, his calculations must be like: 1-10 overs: seamers 11-40: spinners + PT 41-50: seamers Unless ofc he has some other combination in mind, I see seamers bowling 20 overs and all of them during PP and at the death. So my question to the kid is, how do you propose to use the 2 seamers? And if you plan to use the seamers like the way I mentioned above, you are making the seamers bowl during PP and at the death! So then what's the point of trying to show that spinners bowl more economically (let's leave SR aside for a moment to make things easier for you) when you would possibly have seamers bowling 10 overs of PP and 10 overs at the death (May be 12 initially and 8 later on but still that gives possibly only 3 overs of PP1 to spinners, assuming the batting PP is taken around 44-45 overs mark) .... By doing that, you kill your own argument (as despite the stats you gave, your stat's authenticity is TBC though, you are still bowling the seamers at the stages being discussed. which renders your effort pointless) :hehe: Before we get in to this, let's see how you propose to use the 2 seamers (who knows your plan could be to use seamers in the middle overs and open the bowling with spinners :P) . I am sure you don't want the seamers bowling for more than 12 overs ("combined", have to specify "combined" as who knows you might come up w/ an argument like a bowler can only bowl 10 overs) in a row in Ind conditions.
