The Outsider Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Well played - what else can one say. Terrific bowling performance and batted with their heads rather than hinds for once. Well done! Hopefully 3-1 at Lords'. Imran, Asim, Pioneer, Hammad, bhanu, gotham, 'Bowling Powerhouse'..... enjoy it while it lasts!
Chandan Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Well done guys. It was a terrific bowling performance on a terrific batting track of Oval. England would need to do plenty of soul searching.
thevortex Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Pakistan deserve more than grudging praise, I feel. They did well. Again Aamer and Ajmal showed just how good a bowling unit they are - despite their very young combined age.
Karan114 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Yes, well played poyzzz. 'Twas a good win despite the customary late stutter. And lets hope it does last :) It won't but celebrate for now :winky:
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Imran, Asim, Pioneer, Hammad, bhanu, gotham, 'Bowling Powerhouse'..... enjoy it while it lasts! Thanks for remembering me :hatsoff: An exciting test match infact an entire series so far. Test matches are the real deal. They're so soothing:eyedance: Insh`Allah it'll be 2-2 after the Lord's test and for a change, a comprehensive win this time
Sooda Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I do hope it ends 2-2, go on you Paks put England in their place
Rajan Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 when a team faces Ameer, Asif, Ajmal in england conditions, whether the batting team is 150 -0, or 370-3, there is always the possibility of an inspired spell and collapsing, losing 6-7 wickets with in 40 runs. they deserve this win.
Karan114 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I do hope it ends 2-2' date=' go on you Paks put England in their place[/quote'] Well, though I can't go as far as hoping the poyzzz win the next game as well :winky: I agree completely about the cocky English getting put in their place. Preparing for the Ashes, practicing with the Kookabura mid series, best team in the world blah blah, plus their media continually rubbishing India's well deserved no.1 ranking, they have gotten a real good kicking here - should get used to it because they will get a pasting in Oz.
imran666 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 good news for us pak fans at last ..younis khan is playing the final test ...now england will be really tested :winky:
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 good news for us pak fans at last ..younis khan is playing the final test ...now england will be really tested :winky: Ehh? Where did you get that info?
Shane Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Congrats Pakistan! I know how special it is for you guys, atleast the way they chase down targets makes every win special, innit?
imran666 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Ehh? Where did you get that info? Younis Khan will make his return to Pakistan cricket to play in fourth Test http://www.southasiablog.com/2010/08/younis-khan-will-make-his-return-to.html
saneindian Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Ashes this, Ashes that, bye bye Poms. Well done Pakistan.

And its all about the ashes for them, as SaneI points out. Right from the outset, as far as the media were concerned anyway, this Pak series was a warmup for the all important Ashes. Im supporting Pak for the first time ever, really hoping Younis does come back, hell do their batting a world of good and hope they cane England in the last test
