Dhoni backing up Jadeja....

I don't know about previous threads in forum. But today I am disappointed with team India performance. Some times I feel that why selectors are still selecting players like Jadeja as all-rounder. If Jadeja is in time as a bowler at no.8 spot....then he just need to perform well in his bowling only. Because he will be at bowlers spot in team.

Dude...enuff of this pucchaaa -pucchiii with Jadeja... Out of all' date=' he is indeed the main culprit... Tell me what has he done over past 2 years... Dont worry I can tell you-- Kicked us ouut of the 2 T20 worldcups 'singlehandedly'....[/quote'] Again that crap? India lost it because they deserve to be out. Not one player performed well in the tournament. Get that straight

Why do you people always open threads like that after we lost? Is it his fault for our batting collapse? If the selectors had thought like you, we would have very different teams for the next game

Jadeja has 9 lives. I'm sure he's going to pwn everyone by picking up crucial wickets and scoring some quick runs in the next game, leading us possibly to a victory. As much as we dislike him, he does have a knack of performing when his backside is on fire.

Yes ..but you have to start from somewhere... then its Rohit.. then Nehra..but you have to take a step first... otherwise people like 'saneindian' would pop up supporting all these failures everytime we try to kick them
Agree, you cant ignore the fact that this guy isnt good enough by saying well no one is, cos the others in the team have shown what they can do.

Jadeja don't has ability score runs. If you look his wicket today...then you must accept he is not at all a genuine all-rounder to play at no.7. If we have genuine all-rounder at no.7, that player must play minimum of 30-40 balls at that kind of situation. Why do we need player like Jadeja who don't has ability under pressure. How many matches Jadeja played as an all-rounder? Show me his stats which he performed as a perfect all-rounder in ODIs which he played. In every match Jadeja is minus for team. That is the spot team required to win WC2011. How many people accept Jadeja at no.7 in world cup? More than 75% people will reject him. Jadeja is talented player...........no doubt about it. But he need to take much more coaching. He has bright future. If once selectors dropped him...then he will think to get in the squad and perform well at domestic cricket. But the problem Jadeja is getting support from team captain even he is not performing good in the matches. His attitude should change

Jadeja hardly gets asked to do anything thanx to our strong batting line up but whenever he gets the chance he fails miserably. His last significant contribution was when he scored 25 off 27 balls, looks good on paper but mind you he was given the license to hit out with 5 overs of powerplay. I seriously cant remember a single decent inning from him while chasing.

He did perform in two other matches as well against Zimboss... Scored 50 something in both..but guess what, we lost both of those matches:hysterical:... His highest score in a winning match is 25 in past 2 yearss of his international cricket:cantstop:

You Mr. Einstien , what problem do you have with me? Isn't it funny that so called "fans" like you go into a hiding when we win but come out of their hideouts everytime we lose to abuse the players! So much for being a supporter.

Unfortunately even when the entire team is abject, Jaddu is singled out for the harshest criticism. It isn't his fault that at no.7 he's given a role which could not suit him less with the bat. With the ball he has been average to mixed over the past year and a half. Some good, economical performances suggesting there is talent there but in other occasions he gets slaughtered after throwing darts. Personally I admire MSD's faith in a young cricketer desperate to do well but I feel he really needs to evaluate his role in the team. I suspect if we see him batting at no.8 or 9 from now on, fans will be less scathing of his batting abilities

No need to employ sympathy tactics, just do some forum digging and find the last "India vs Pak" match thread. Despite team India's brave performance Jadeja's dismal struggle in the middle was hard to swallow. If anything, team India's horrow show is diverting your attention from Jadeja's below mediocre peformance. Also team India doesnt need to suit Jadeja's needs instead he needs to justify his selection as an allrounder.

He is neither one thing nor the other (his batting average may look respectable but he inevitably crumbles when there is a game to be won, while making meaningless runs when the top order has collapsed and the game good as over).

it is better for team moral that he is silently discarded than publically executed. Dhoni is smart enough to know that there is a problem, but this is not the time to show to our opponents that there a problem. My guess is that he will be "rested" for the next game and if his replacement does will, the matter will not need to be publically discussed.

Is it frowned upon to have a degree of sympathy for a young cricketer, struggling to match expectation, and laughed at by his own er...supporters? There will have been instances where he's let the team down. But my point remains that it's quite harsh to make him a hate figure when he's thrust into a role he can't perform My suggestion of moving Jadeja down the order was merely that, a suggestion. Would actually agree with the next poster who says Ojha should be clearly ahead of him.

Dhoni willl persist with the same guys like Nohit and Jaddu till they score a 50 or get 3 wickets:hehe: Even Dinesh Mongia didnt play this many matches after such consistent inconsistency like Rohit:giggle:

jadeja symbolises the indian team- a talentless hack who'll do well in slow doctored wickets but is completely shown up when the wicket is sporting.

If jaddu is a talentless hack then Yusuf Pathan is god :hysterical:

Maybe that's the different between a typical modern supporter and a supporter who supports India. With you, you will always criticize, just because u find that 75% do not support the player, but it does not make the player bad. If managers, coaches started following the mass audience, we really would not have a team but a lottery system for the players to be selected in the team. There is a lot behind the scenes, training and surely the Indian team is more knowledgeable than all of us. Likewise, you will criticize Jadeja, but you yourself have no solution to improve the situation, for you, you have the right to criticize but then it is not your job to know or understand the variables solutions. You talk about stats, well Jadeja has better stats than Irfan Pathan in both batting and bowling in domestic matches or for a fact, also even in international matches. And he is improving steadying over the last year. Funnily, you talk about his attitude, well he seems to have a good attitude unlike some players like IP who attend concerts and misses some domestic cups. And you make it sound like the no.7 position is the magically position that every match is won or lost based on that position. The fact is if our so called best and most powerful batting line up are going out fast, the problem is them first not Jadeja. Probably this post summarilizes you all problems with him as one poster wrote about him
He is neither one thing nor the other (his batting average may look respectable but he inevitably crumbles when there is a game to be won, while making meaningless runs when the top order has collapsed and the game good as over
Selective interpretation. If he plays well, it is meaningless and if he fails like everyone else, it is his mistake.
