sudheer kumar Posted August 23, 2010 Author Posted August 23, 2010 Maybe that's the different between a typical modern supporter and a supporter who supports India. With you' date=' you will always criticize, just because u find that 75% do not support the player, but it does not make the player bad. [b']If managers, coaches started following the mass audience, we really would not have a team but a lottery system for the players to be selected in the team. There is a lot behind the scenes, training and surely the Indian team is more knowledgeable than all of us. Likewise, you will criticize Jadeja, but you yourself have no solution to improve the situation, for you, you have the right to criticize but then it is not your job to know or understand the variables solutions. You talk about stats, well Jadeja has better stats than Irfan Pathan in both batting and bowling in domestic matches or for a fact, also even in international matches. And he is improving steadying over the last year. Funnily, you talk about his attitude, well he seems to have a good attitude unlike some players like IP who attend concerts and misses some domestic cups. And you make it sound like the no.7 position is the magically position that every match is won or lost based on that position. The fact is if our so called best and most powerful batting line up are going out fast, the problem is them first not Jadeja. Probably this post summarilizes you all problems with him as one poster wrote about him People like you only think about Lottery system . Player must be in team who have guts to face any kind of challenge. Jadeja don't have those guts. I challenge about Jadeja's performance in upcoming matches. There won't be any change in performance. He will never change until he lose support from people like you. It is amazing that Indian fans supporting players like Jadeja who don't have minimum technique to play in team. I have seen very few fans like you someone.

This is the wrong direction but I really do not understand how you can talk about a player's attitude or for the matter, guts when you yourself have no involvement in the indian cricket team. Just because you perceive that Jadeja does not have guts, does not mean it is fact. His performances are good but it is really disappointing that so many of the so called indian supporters do selective interpretation, just to show their point(that Jadeja is crap) which is not true. As again I have said, for people like you, if he plays well, it is meaningless and if he plays bad, then you say how could he?It is because of him we lost. Sorry but you just are not seeing the other side.

He can play at no.8 which increase batting resources for team. At that time team should play with two spinners and two pacers. In sub-continent I think two pacers is enough for team. But still I am feeling that Dhoni should not backing up him

Imo, if your 6 batsman play to your potential, no.7 batting should only be regarded as a bonus but whereas you will always need 5 bowlers to bowl 10 overs of which Jadeja does decently. You know it works both ways, imagine you play 7 batsmans and the team batted brilliant that the 7th batsman did not need to bat, but with a 4 bowlers + part timers, we lost matches. This is a scenario which has happened plenty of times, at those times, posters like you were saying 5 bowlers is a must. And first time, I heard a person complaining for a captain showing support to his players.

His spot in the squad depends on his performance against Kiwis. Not only Jadeja.....Rohit and Karthik also in that list.

IF they perform they show us the ability to perfom!!!!!!!!!!! Thats what we want. Thats how Yuvrajj has been living all his cricketing life ffs. The only thing we need now is consistency......its not like we are picking players that have no talent or skills whatsoever.
Hell Raiser Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Jadeja was one of the main reasons of India's poor performance in both 2009 and 2010 t-20 world cup. What does dhoni want now?? Is he waiting for jadeja to knock out India early in the 2011 world cup as well?? Pls dhoni if you like him so much, keep him in your basement, but don't take him out to play for India.

Bitter really bitter, get over it for your own benefit and blaming a single person for any bad event will never get you far.
Hell Raiser Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 REAd it again, i said one of the reasons. and what do you think?? that he should be in the team??? When players like ganguly and dravid can be dropped even after performing in england in 2007 and Sehwag can be made to sit out when he wasn't performing. What has Jadeja done to remain part of india team.

Everyone was at fault in the world cup, it was not like even one player performed well and if anything, it was the top order batting which failed against the bouncers. And how does t20 relate to ODIs? We have totally different criteria for both of the games. Get your facts right and remember this is ODIs where Jadeja has performed well. If you do not believe, look at the recent matches yourself not just the last match.
Hell Raiser Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 He is a weak link in indian team, even in odi's he hasn't done anything, infact on most of ocaasions he hasn't even manage to pic a single wicket. and what stats??? Same stats shows average of salman butt is more than sehwag, so will you take butt as better opener??? We can see the performance of jadeja, he needs to work on his game very much. We have given him so many opportunities, now either we should look for another all rounder, or we should play 5 bowlers.

If you have doubt check his stats in ODIs. Someone I am saying every time Jadeja's not at all a suitable player at no.7. Because that is fact No one can change facts.
The Outsider Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 The way Jadeja's bowling is made out to be here, one would be led into thinking he is Bedi and Mankad rolled into one.
vamos_rafa Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Jadeja is a reasonable to be played at No. 8...nothing more than that... time and again he has shown that he does not have the acumen to bail the team out of tricky situations... and he can only use the long handle against weaker opponents.... My worry is that with this over persistence with JAdeja we might miss a trick by not trying out some one like mithun... i dont think that bowling wise it would make much difference because even jadeja is, at best a good bowler...Mithun has shown that he can apply himselves and even score a few.... I dont mean to suggest that he may do well because again it was only against SL ,but its atleast worth a try. The baffling thing is that you back a player who has shown some promise or has not been given opportunites and i think Jadeja does not fit the bill in the first arguement and he has been given one chance too many.
Acim Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Why has Irfan been ignoerd for so long? I know his bowling has gone down alot, but he is a handy batsman and can be quite useful at 7 if he improves his batting more. I don't see his bowling improving.
