Mumbai Indians win Champions League T20 2010

There are no chances for Mumbai Indians to win Champions League. They will not even qualify to the semi finals. Even though the team looks very talented, they have been very sloppy in the field and captaincy is too poor. If Dhoni had been captain, he would have easily won the match against Redbacks. Blewatt

Judging by your yardstick, Dhoni at times leaves his brain in Jharkahand therefore we don't have a 100% win record. That's so sad :(

That's so sad :([/quote'] Dhoni's captaincy was ordinary in IPL1 especially with the batting order and his own batting was rather pathetic in IPL 2. It is only in IPL 3 that the team came together especially with the addition of Bollinger and Ashwin.

Remember that Chennai Super Kings is the only team that qualified to the knockout stage in all the 3 IPL seasons. So the credit should definitely go to the captain

But he is the Indian captain who has the best winning record for India
who happens to have some of the best players that has ever played for India. Captaincy has a lot of areas. Dhoni is good at some of the areas that really doesn't need acumen. He can get the best out of his players, he can even make occasional good field settings. But there is a whole lot of areas he is just downright horrible. But he shouldn't be blamed alone. The entire support staff and senior players should take the blame. He has been extremely lucky that he had hayden, hussey, raina and murali in IPL 1 and 2 and the local boys shined in IPL 3.

Qualifying for knockout stages means you weren't cr@p (like Queens XI :hehe:), not that you were great. The only times when CSK has been truly great was towards end of IPL 3 regular + knockout and this CL so far.
