Yuvi at #4 in ODIs

I think he is just not good enough for that position (unless in very good form). He is more suited to #5 to #7, ideally #6. Yuvi is too often in and out of form and usually is good for quick 30-40, which means at #6, he can come out and do just that. Too bad that we haven't be able to find a "good" #4. Have to use Yuvi for his experience. Unless he is in very good form, Yuvi should be played below #4, imo Just checked the stats of those batting at #4 in ODIs, (min 10 games) from 1 Aug 2009 to 28 Aug 2010:

link Not surprisingly, Yuvi is at the bottom, avg 25 after 18 games. May be Kohli should be used more often at #4 (esp if Ind goes in with 7 batsmen). He looks like a good prospect.

yuvraj has had his worst year in international cricket. the position isnt the problem. if a guy is in bad form, he is gonna fail no matter where u play him. the guy's fitness is appalling. i keep wondering when he is gonna get that knee fixed. seems like he doesnt want to risk a long lay-off, especially with the world cup around the corner.

Yuvraj will bounce back. He hasn't made the most of the opportunities he's got but he selects himself by default in any ODI series. Virat can play at #5.

Yuvraj can bat anywhere generally speaking between 3 and 5. His strongest I believe to be 4/5, but regardless of this, go easy, he has had a bad year in cricket! All greats have this, sehwag and even tendulkar have had bad patches, Not to mention Yuvraj hasnt even hit 30 so his prime years are ahead of him! I agree that his ODI performances arent great especially with a player of his ODI calibre! He recently has had weight issues and with a lack of test cricket, hes playing less cricket as we speak, and not to forget he had a dreadful T20 campaign! Sooner or later well see the old Yuvi back in shape and hopefully showing dominance once again!
