punjabi_khota Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 well tbh, my mum is a muslim and dad is a sikh, though i was though hinduism as my parents let me chose my religion, and i went to pakistan mainly because my dad said lahore uni was very good and a good reputation for actuarial science as there are like 17 actuaries in pakistan so my initial intention was to go pakistan to be an actuary though i got in cause of my dad and persuasion as well as being from kashmir i think, as my parents want kashmir to be an independant country. but my mind changed and went to montecarlo in casino scene. Lahore imo is a beautiful city filled with mughal histroy.:winky: All that is OK but what national team do you support ? Thats the main issue here. :giggle:

neeran Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Hmm, as a newbie on this forum, I guess a quick intro is in order... although I've been posting on cricket since 1991 -- I suspect some of you weren't even born then :-) Most pertinent fact about me, from this forum's POV: I'm one of the co-founders of CricInfo -- well, "co-founder" is a strong term given CricInfo's origins, but I was certainly among the first few volunteers who set up and ran the IRC bot, the gopher site and then the web site back in 1992-93. As for the more mundane stuff -- professional stuff -- look me up on LinkedIn. And I (occasionally) write a blog called Cricket Stalker over on blogger.
EnterTheVoid Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 ^^ wow, really? can you tell us a bit about how cricinfo works? like who pays for the bandwidth, the data rate, the uploads/downloads etc
