They actually deal with the producers, actors, film makers before the launch and thrash out a strategy (mostly standard, successful strategies) to have the Film guys making controversial statements and then SSS or MNS goons creating trouble, thus hyping up the movie. This strategy also involves Film guys visitng Bal, Uddhav or Raj and staging a 'reconcilliation' effort..After that money changes hands and the Thakreys go dancing all the way to their Bank (hopefully Bank Of Maharashtra)..

Lets be honest they are probably not representative of paki views(although no doubt most pakis think along these lines:--D), as 99% of pakis dont even know how to turn on a computer let alone get on to the internet.

In my opinion, this does not have anything to do with promoting his film by creating a controversy. Whoever heard of his comments must have some exposure to the media and thus would have an idea on his latest release. The massive collections from the first weekend have nothing to do with the interview. On the contrary, the collections could have been hurt had he really irked the saffron (oops, did i talk of color) lunatics. Don't forget who this is: Salman Khan. Most of us might not be his fan but in terms of producing unexpected blockbusters/hits and setting the cash registers on fire, this guy is unmatched in the entire industry. There's some of the biggest movies of the earlier decade such as MPK & HAHK and there's the most unusual of successes such as tere naam & lucky: no time for love. The fact of the matter is, he does not need such silly publicity, he has a fan following which comes out to protest for his release after he had been accused of homicide. Our ruling party's spokesperson Rajiv Shukla made the same statement last year "India does not blame Pakistan govt for 26/11". What's the need to target an actor who's being politically correct in an interview and reiterating the same statement ? Is it not true that all the previous bomb blasts that targeted the common man in Mumbai did not generate a tenth of a response from the govt ? The part he went overboard was when he suggested of internal attacks. He is simply playing with fire by giving away his country's credibility in front of the enemy's media. I suspect that's because he's an idiot, we know he's no Nirupama Subramanian for sure and does not understand the points scoring the crap journalists indulge in.
