ISI is on the case now..I wouldn't be surprised if ISI agents got a 'bookie' to 'talk' to The Sun tabloid and 'claim' certain things. And when The Sun publishes the report, 'Victim Cards' can be played by Pakistan/PCB..

Certainly an unconvincing rebuttal but this might actually be one of the best things that has happened to Pakistan cricket, if it means the departure of the loathsome Butt. He is apparently nuniversally unpopular domestically and seen as no more than a croney of "Mr Ten percent". There remains the albeit slim possibility that popular pressure will lead to the appointment of a new board who can restore some semblance of good governance, transparency and integrity. This is clearly a desperate attempt to play the "foreign conspiracy" card in order to arrest his plumetting credibility. It won't succeed because most people in Pakistan, like ordinary people everywhere, are perfectly reasonable and can see through this kind of barrel scraping populism, once they have detatched themselves somewhat from the kind of hysterical and jingoistic nationalistic excess which unfortunately seems to afflict sports fans (and forums) in all countries. As Orwell wrote about international competitive sport in general - "There cannot be much doubt that the whole thing is bound up with the rise of nationalism — that is, with the lunatic modern habit of identifying oneself with large power units and seeing everything in terms of competitive prestige." These statements by Butt are everything to do with an internal power struggle in the PCB and very little to do with the issues of matchfixing and spotbetting. Those issues are now matters of international concern stemming primarily from the lack of regulation of betting in India and Pakistan because such forms of gambling are illegal (other forms of gambling such as the kinds of speculative share trading which have led us to the brink of a financial tsunami are perfectly legal). Perhaps you didn't watch the last ODI. The way Pakistan won, you will hardly see any team snatching victory from the jaw of defeat, but no majority over here and ICC are satisfied that the game was "fixed."
